Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.0306 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ***************************************************** Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Fuchsia Tino ***************************************************** Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral Elisabeth Davies ***************************************************** *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** ~ Vacant ~ *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ********************* USS HAMILTON Captain Antonio Leeds GM: Janet Gist ********************* As they continue to travel through the intervening sectors toward their mission objectives in the Seltika Sector, the HAMILTON crew encounters a number of challenges on the more personal fields of the heart and mind. CSO Mercedes McCarter apologizes to OPS/FCO Zac Bentley for the pain he must have felt seeing her ex-fiance kissing her, but he say the fault was his for misunderstanding and visits her twin brother Yossarian to find out her preferences/favorites in order to make their first date something special. CEO Chandler T'krn manages an almost 15 minute nap in Yossarian's lap before her nightmares reawaken her and she decides to get some work done in the Science Lab, since she's awake anyway. There she apologizes to CNS Jo Carters for having enter the Counsellor's office without permission when Jo also turns up at the Lab to do some research. CSciO Sudak winds up in Sickbay when headaches that have recurred in him since their encounter with an alien mind weapon in their last mission cause disturbing dreams in the Vulcan officer. Counsellor Jo Carters then finds herself staying the night in Sickbay as well, when an overly enthusiastic holodeck squash game leaves her with a head injury. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ************************* Beaver Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* *************** USS HORIZON Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser *************** (The Horizon is currently investigating a dark matter anomaly in the Katarian sector.) CSciO Melody Cuen's part of the away team meets up with the remainder of the Dakota's team. Together with the others, they go to investigate the escape pod that was sent from the Horizon to the station. It turns out that CNS Jay McMadeth is carrying out his plan to save Maggy. He succeeds, even though he is nearly stopped by Arkanis. Everyone agrees they should get back to the ship, but an attempt at using the station's transporters fails and results in three injured people. Back on the Horizon's bridge, OPS Blaze Starsinger witnesses how the dark matter fades away, while sending out a song of light and hope. They see the away team leaving the station, and the finally pick up the Dakota on sensors. **************** USS ATHENE Commander Krwn GM Kathy Ruether **************** The ship's FCO is a little perturbed and throws a silent fit about the fact that they have let the CEO take the controls of the shuttle and not her. Then she realizes that it is because something must be wrong with her meditation because of the feelings she is detecting. Krwn tells Ian that it might be a good idea to synchronize his and Jouri's comm badges to possibly fool the Talosians and humans. He also suggests that Dr. Morit to mask the facial markings that distinguish the two from each other. Ian hides in an escape pod until Miranda contacts him that it's safe to come out. The shuttle crashes as planned and a human living on Talos IV by the name of Dean Hunt greets them. Jur is slightly injured with a limp in his leg and ends up fainting. He is taken to the medical fascilities there. Dr. Morit joins him. Jur does get information from one of the nurses about the little community they live in while Miranda and Jouri go meet with their leader, Lee Williams. Of course, the Talosians know everything the away team has planned without their knowledge. One reason why they probably don't have surprise parties thrown for them. **************************** USS HERMES Commander Michael J. Halifax GM Scott Bradley **************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ************************* Condor Squadron Commander ************************* ~ Vacant ~ ************************* ************** DS 101 Captain Alyza GM Don Ratliff ************** This week on DS-101, the HIKARU returns home and Lt. Steve O'brady, newly arrived Chief Engineer, was briefed on the current status of the Station by his second-in-command, Ensign Dior Fon. Then he reported to Captain Alyza. An explosion in Engineering results in few injuries, but sabotage is suspected. CM Mary Lofton welcomes the homecoming of her boyfriend, Lt Aniketos, new aFO. They celebrate with a quiet dinner at one of the restaurants. During the evening they run in a mysterious Klingon. Lt. Sephiroth Rommel, FCO/CNO/2O, was before assignment to DS-101, piloting a cargo tug in the heart of the Federation. When Alyza was a Lieutenant, she had defended Rommel at a disciplinary hearing. Despite the Exemplary job she had done, Rommel was demoted and reassigned to non-important posts. Someone had to take the fall for the Delia IV incident, politically Rommel was the one chosen by the "higher ups." Ens. Villeray, CMO, falls asleep lamenting that her own brand of healing was recognized by Star Fleet, not to a level where she could use it all the time as she had before joining Star Fleet. The CNS, Jack Kersh, meets with his to say the least eccentric and quarreling staff. He sends another letter to Katie, not expecting any answer - - as all previous letters have gone unanswered. Lt Hakon, CSci, returns to his labs and dusty artifacts and made an appointment to talk with the Counselor the next morning. A Xu'sorfian ship emerges from the rift caused by the LEGACY's arrival. They arrive in search of a computer program now in John Roberts brain. The computer program, which controlled a powerful weapon, was created by a race called Cyrnins during a war with the Xu'sorfians. When the Cyrnins saw that they were going to loose the war, they searched for a place to hide it. John Roberts was chosen. Lt. Mike reveals that the weapon is actually several weapons: planets converted to sophisticated machines that manipulate the atoms of space. These weapons could selectively wipe out planets, or just the civilizations that inhabit one. John Roberts had been captured by the Xu'sorfians and connected to the weapon half a neighboring galaxy was wiped out, millions of species instantly. This the Xu'sorfians did for mere pleasure. John Roberts managed to escape and destroy all of these weapons, before returning to Federation space. This single Xu'sorfian ship, now at DS-101, is all that remains of the Xu'sorfian race after John Roberts destroyed them. And now they come demanding John Roberts be turned over to them. Cmdr. Roberts, Lt. Gallic, Ens. Goose, and Lt Cady board the LEGACY to face the Xu'sorfian warship. After a short battle, in which the LEGACY did indeed show its power, the Xu'sorfian warship was destroyed. Starfleet cannot agree what to do with Cmdr. Roberts. So they 'pass the buck' to Capt. Alyza. ************ USS COCHRANE ************ NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRYDOCKED **************** USS NIGHTINGALE LtCmdr Pol Canon GM Mistie Smith **************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************************************************* Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Adm. Elisabeth Davies) ********************************************************************* UPDATED SD 13.0213 The Federation/Na'Chem Ceasefire is still in effect. Although, the Na'Stiu faction continues with efforts to upset the Ceasefire. The USS SELEYA has met with leaders of one cell of the Na'Stiu and continue to negotiate for a peaceful arrangement, despite Na'Stiu attacks continuing from other cells. The USS ZEUS came under fire during a recent patrol, but the attackers were repelled with no casualties on the ZEUS. Na'Stiu vessels have avoided conflict with the USS XERXES. Diplomatic relations with the Juun are still considered to be in 'a tense period' and talks have been initiated to resolve the situation. Captain Mara Nemec has been somewhat successful in establishing a working dialogue with leaders of anti-Federation factions. Progress is slow but noticeable. Official reports on the temporal anomalies in the Cocoon have been released to upper administration, but remain highly classified. No further information will be presented on this matter. Actions to relegitimize SFIntel are proceeding. Recent rogue SFIntel activity aboard the USS HAMILTON has been contained, and investigations will continue on all levels of SFIntel. *************************************** Amgine Sector Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) *************************************** OP108 has completed installation of its orbital docking platform and commercial and Fleet activity continues to grow in the area. Due to extenuating circumstances, the USS COCHRANE has been recalled from its mission to investigate missing ships in the area of the wormhole. Fleet Administration is currently evaluating the situation and a new mission to investigate will begin soon. Results of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade conference are showing measurable effects as the Federation is currently considering three new civilization's applications to the UFP. Continuous trade routes have been established with the Malvedians and the Zillimese. Members of the Sori'arian race have set up commercial outlets on DS101 and are still negotiating for a more active trade with the Federation. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Relations with the Klingon Empire continue to improve, with the reactivation of the officer exchange program. Primarily medical, science and engineering officers have been exchanged, including one officer on the USS HORIZON. Still no official comments from the Cardassian Union. The new Tecumseh-class battle cruiser, the USS ATHENE, has entered the primary stage of its mission and all communication has ceased, as per orders, since leaving StarBase 11. The mission is expected to last three weeks. Activity on the Tholian border has increased, and StarFleet is sending more ships to investigate. No conflict is expected, but the Tholians have refused to answer diplomatic overtures and maintain contact silence. Most recent reports indicate that the activity is primarily colonial and commercial. Romulan Ambassador Tultia has arrived on Bajor to meet with Vulcan leaders. The subject is unification, although Tultia is widely known to be adamantly against the unification movement and no progress is expected, according to the Diplomatic Corps. Vulcan Ambassador Skarov has stated that he will do everything possible to work with Ambassador Tultia and her staff to progress toward a satisfactory result. ********************************************************
