COCOON FLEET SITUATION REPORT SD: 10.0120 ******* SB OMEGA Starbase Omega recently began tracking an asteroid on an intercept course with the starbase. The Athene was dispatched to lead a Task Force to investigate. The Asteroid was travelling at warp speed and is surround by a field that baffles sensors. The Task force has finally found a means of penetrating the chameleon field on the approaching "Enigma" as it is being called around here. The task forces sensors will take some time to modify, however, Omega's sensors should be modified within the hour and we should be getting accurate long range readings in the near future. Previous ETA of the Enigma was 30 hours, however it seems to be restoring it's Warp Power following the use of a Verteron torpedo against it. Estimations based on it's rate of acceleration put it at 6 hours from Omega. The Enigma has also been discovered to be generating some form of "Negative Empathic Energy" as the science team puts it. A means has been discovered to attempt to short out this device, it may be implemented soon. *** USS REGULATOR The Regulator, having successfully located and destroyed the USS RAMPANT, returned to the remains of Starbase 217 to retrieve the away team and survivors. Then after a message from the Clark, set a course back to the secret UTOPIA location. Captain Zar was seriously injured during the battle with the RAMPANT and had to be placed in stasis by the Regulator's CMO. LtCmdr Sheridan was ordered by Starfleet to report to DS15 for reassignment, and she left the ship almost immediately thereafter. Upon returning to UTOPIA, the command crew transferred back to the Clark. The Regulator then returned to the Gaia drydocks. *** USS PHOENIX The PHOENIX is currently drydocked at Gaia Fleetyards. ******* Antelope Squadron: Commodore Xantho --- Outpost 721 No report submitted. *** USS ATHENE No report submitted. *** USS CLARK Commander Johas Tosen has taken command to oversee the final stage of the Clark's refit. She then called the senior staff to a mission briefing. The Clark has been ordered to recover or destroy any and all data, as well as the prototype for a Federation quantum phaser. The quantum phaser was stolen from research outpost Kappa7 by the Klingons. *** USS LOKI The crew interviews conducted by Cmdr. Loquoren are continuing. Also, CPO Constantine, following his complaint concerning the regulation Starfleet uniforms, took matters into his own hands. Constantine wore jeans, t-shirt, and his characteristic trench coat and glasses during his duty shift. Captain Savage put a quick end to Constantine's display of insubordination, ordering him to wear regulation uniform. Constantine complained further stating that his 'religion' required him to wear the non-regulation garb. Savage reminded the CPO that his newly formed 'religion' was not recognized by the UFP and as a result, he ordered Constantine to put on his regulation uniform once again. ****** Beaver Squadron: Commodore Bagamibatoo --- USS HORIZON No report submitted. *** USS KATANA No report submitted. *** USS XERXES The Xerxes is on course for the remote Latnem system. Two of the 4 suspects (Kalayah and Taavek) were questioned thus far and then released, Taavek after spending a night in the brig. The question is, what is the connection between the murder of T'Lek and the framing of Rissa? Taavek asserts that if we answer that, we have found the murderer. A bio engineered virus was found to be aboard the station, which was airborn but had a short life of 2 hours in the air and an incubation period of 1 hour in the host before symptoms were evident. Dr. Dionysus found that radiation could destroy it, but could be deadly to children. Lt(jg) Bel found large concentrations of the airborn virus and devised a method of containing it. After Capt. Alyza ordered general quarters for 2 hours, the airborn virus was eliminated, and the 5 people who developed symptoms were likewise irradiated as were their quarters. The virus contained, visiting starships need only worry about the continued lock-down of the station due to the murder of T'Lek. *** USS CURIE The USS CURIE has recently undergone a change of command and is still adapting to their temporary CO, Captain Clark.
