3-D Fireworks Craft

Heavy Black or Dark Blue Paper
Glue
Glitter (preferably red, white, and blue)
Instructions:
This is an easy craft idea! Squeeze the glue from the bottom onto the paper. Try to make firework (starburst-type) designs. After you make the designs with the glue, sprinkle the glitter on the glue to make your fireworks sparkle!

You can also use a paint brush or q-tip to "paint" on your deisgn and then add the glitter.

Fourth of July Twirlers

One way to show your patriotic colors is to hang an array of these red, white and blue twirlers from a window frame, tree, or front porch.

Materials
• Plastic coffee can lids
• Marker
• Scissors
• String

String of Stars

Decorate a porch railing with these festive Fourth of July garlands.

Materials
• Craft Foam
• Scissors
• Tacky glue
• Hole punch
• Ribbons

Step 1:
Cut out a bunch of craft foam stars that measure five or so inches across.

Step 2:
Next cut out smaller stars of contrasting colors and use tacky glue to attach each one to a larger star.

Step 3:
To finish, use a hole punch to make two holes in each glued pair, then thread lengths of ribbon through to tie them together.

Step 1:
To make one, use a nail to poke a hole in the center of a plastic coffee can lid.

Step 2:
With a marker, draw a spiral that starts 3/8 inch from the hole and gradually extends to the rim, then cut along the line with scissors.

Step 3:
Knot an end of a piece of string, thread the other end up through the hole in the center, and the twirler is ready to hang up and spin.

Tips:
To spin, grasp each one at the bottom, twirl it around and around until the string is wound tight, let go and enjoy the show.
