Story of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
“Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory” is a classic movie with many good moral messages. This movie disproves the old saying that “bad things happen to good people.” In this case, good things happen to honest people. Charlie comes from a very poor family and has to help care for his grandparents. He has a hard life but still looks at it in a positive and happy way. Charlie’s positive attitude and honesty shines through in his personality. Willie Wonka sees the goodness in Charlie’s heart and hands over the whole chocolate factory to Charlie. In Charlie’s case, goodness really pays off. On top of Charlie’s goodness he was a very hard worker. Never receiving money from your parents and having to help raise your grandparents taught him good work ethic. Charlie’s hard work played a big role in him receiving the inheritance of the factory from Willie Wonka.
On the other hand we see the snobby and malicious kids that Charlie goes to the factory with. They are fighting for the candy and Willies attention. Nothing but bad things happen to these kids. As a kid, this movie taught me that nothing good comes from being selfish. Some say kids are naturally selfish, which in a way is true, but I believe it can be avoided with proper parenting. All of the bad kids were spoiled by their parents which inevitably led to their selfishness.
This Movie also teaches that money can’t but everything. Every one of the kids who got a Golden ticket came from wealthy families. Money may have helped them get a ticket, but wasn’t able to get them the grand prize. Their parents constantly bribed Willie for things that their kids really wanted, one even wanted to buy and Oompa Loompa!
“Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” was an exciting to watch not only as a little kid but is still fun to watch today. Without knowing it, I was enjoying myself and learning at the same time!
