All of the pictures are arranged to follow the layout from (railroad) east to west.
This is the new staging yard which is located under the modeled area west of Cumberland. The original staging yard under the Potomac River section will still be used as well. The two yards are connected with a section of track that we call the Callan Connection, named after Tom Callan. The yard itself was named after Scott Dunlap, by him! Too bad all of this will be covered up. Photos by Scott Dunlap, 8/21/03 and 9/04/03.
Two shots of the Utility Room which is filled with tracks leading to and from both staging yards and the Callan Connection. Photos by Scott Dunlap, 9/19/04.

Three shots of a Western Maryland freight as it heads west along the Potomac. Both the B&O's original low line and the Magnolia Cutoff can be seen on the south side of the river. Photos by Henry Freeman.
Here's Ed Kenny ballasting the same section. Notice that there's still no water in the Potomac River, but it's looking pretty good. Photos by Scott Dunlap, 8/21/03.

This shot may not be much to look at but it represents the real progress that is being made wiring the layout. Photo by Scott Dunlap, 9/19/04.

The model was started by Andy Holzopfel about ten years ago but never completed. Andy decided instead to focus his attentions on other artistic endeavours. The model was acquired by Henry in 1999 at one of the Timonium Train Shows in Maryland and transported to his home in New Jersey. It was then sent to Dave Maynard in Massachusetts who completely rebuilt it before returning it to Henry.

One more shot of the Queen City Hotel now installed on the layout. Photos by Scott Dunlap and Henry Freeman, 10/18/05.
One of the building mockups built by Jonathan Jones. His mockups are so good that it wouldn't take much to make them the permanent building models. Photos by Scott Dunlap and Henry Freeman, 10/18/05.
