Faith Beyond Walls: An Organization Of Faith

Faith Beyond Walls is a community based organization that was establihed in 1999, by three gentleman;Rev. B.T. Rice, Rabbi Mark Shook and Rev. Dr. John Anderson who wanted to make a known and beneficial difference, that would increase unity and improve neighborhoods in the St. Louis region. This idea arised during the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1999 and would become essential when dealing with the unbalanced rank in society, both socially and constructively which clearly shows in our communities. Creating the phrase "haves" and "have nots," they emphasize the way in which higher classes are given more attention to, rather than helping or even acknowledging the lower classes who desperately yearn for aspects like medical assistance but are constantly ignored. The actions that they embark upon relates back to their company title due to the fact that these individuals exceed the protective coverings of shelters, and journey out into neighborhood streets. In addition to helping less-fortunate individuals the FBW committee dedicates their time to community service. Formulating four categories; the Day of Interfaith Service for Collegians (DISC), the Extreme Faith eXperience (EFX), the Housing and Neighborhood Beautification and the Congregation Resource Directory, the initiators and the numerous volunteers strive to carry out there task, having strong faith in God and believing that what they do for the greater good of relationships within the community and the community as a whole keeps them in the willing attitude to work. I truly admire their thoughts, actions and their faith and strongly encourage readers to examine them deeper than this paragraph by visiting their website and hopefully experience the appreciation that I now have for this astounding organization in Metro St. Louis.

A perfect example of a woman presenting dedication and care.

You reap what you sow!

The result of careful timing and planning.

A great pic of volunteers hard at work.
