Throughout the study of the human condition according to various philosophical writers, I have received information that expands my understanding of the situation in the outside world. However, it has also effected me through my continuation of self examination and living a life that is open to new things. The human condition has clearly applied to me in the present, as I became more open to the theme. Throughout all the themes of the human condition there is one important aspect that stands out in my thoughts, which is the indirect experience that we all share as humans. It applies to me clearly as I examine my past experiences whether they were positive or negative. Similar to the writer in Faith, Reason and Revelation I had a tendency to think that what I was going through no one could relate to, at that particular moment. Though I was aware that individuals were suffering everywhere in the world, I refused to think that what they were going through was worse then my condition and that my conditio was so unique as opposed to others'. In my ignorance and anger I failed to realize an essential aspect that the human condition genuinely emphasizes. This is the fact, that indeed without a shadow of a doubt, we as humans at some point and time go through the same things. As I said before it's not that I didn't know this, it was the fact that I chose to ignore it due to my anger. The human condition essentially served as a reminder and a "wake up call" to me, that people do experience the same things and it is our duty as human beings created by God, to follow our natural instinct which is to in the words of Harold Kushner "reach out to the person who is hurting." To communicate with them in some fashion that brings comfort to them. This I think is the central theme that applies to me in my life and as I retain this information will make me a better person internally and as I open up more to others'thoughts and feelings.
