Historical Society Members
PURRsonal Histories Page Two

There are now ELEVEN Wright cats but the above five are members of CLAW and
the Historical Society. Sir Wally was the first adoptee, a full grown pure
white cat with odd eyes, who decided to just come on home with Meowmie after
she petted him at a parking lot in the inner city. He is very gentle and loving...probably 3 to 4 years old in 2001.
Next came Cheyenne Autumn and Silvermyst, brother and sister, who were
abandoned near a vet's office and came to live at the Wright house once they were weaned and pronounced healthy. Sir Wally shared his quarters with them and, in effect, raised them and it shows. They too are sweet, gentle and love to cuddle. Silvermyst shows Siamese ancestry while Cheyenne is a marmelade and
white long haired cat.
Calli Victoria and Lady Midnight are the children of Carolina Kitty, a feral cat who decided the back yard would be her home and she brought the kittens with her. It took time and patience to tame Carolina and her young ones but
they are all tame now, very gentle, and the kittens are grown-up; spoiled, fat
loving ladies! Carolina is a Tortie, Midnight is jet black and Calli is a Calico. Carolina has been adopted by a friend and is a member of CLAW also.
Other kitties who live at the Wright House are Tripod, Palomino, Stormi,
CK, Jesse James and Chinook. Future CLAW members probably!

My name is Elvis. I am a big Maine Coon Cat. I live with my family in
Massachusetts. I was a rescue cat but not in the same sense as one of my
sisters and brother. When I was 3 weeks old, I was left out on the street,
in a box to be run over by a car or truck. One of our neighbors stopped his
coffee truck and went to move the box. I meowed as loud as my little lungs
would let me. He heard me, took me home in his truck and brought me to
Meowmie. She named me after her favorite entertainer, Elvis Presley. I
have some brain damage from being left in the cold but I am just slightly
retarded and a very gentle and loving cat.
I belonged to the old CLAW and of course joined the new one. I have my
honorable degree and my degree in feline arts and science.
I am very happy to be in this group. I love history and learning new
things.

My name is Angel. I am Elvis' sister. I am a rescue cat as well but came
from a no kill shelter in NH. I live in Massachusetts now with my family
(two brothers Elvis and Bashful and one sister Sabrina). At the shelter
they called me Cheyanne and sometimes Selena but my real name is Angel.
Meowmie finally guessed it one day when she called me her little angel baby.
I let her know that Angel was my real name! I am an eleven month old gray
tortie. I love life and my humans and furry family. I am so lucky to be
adopted with my blood brother Bashful. We were from the same litter and I
couldn't bear it if we had been seperated.
I am very new to CLAW but I am learning a lot about it and the different
groups from my sister and big brother. I love history so this was the
perfect group for me to join.

My name is Bubba Taylor and I'll be 13 on Nov 28. I've lived with my meowmie
since I was 3 months. I'm a gray stripped tabby. I live with my meowmie,
dad and 1 year old sister, Tabitha in Washington DC. My 7 year old little
sister, Jazzy, went to the Rainbow Bridge on Sept 4, 2001. In November, I'm
going to be getting a new little sister. I think her name is going to be
Samantha.
I've always been a really healthy guy but last year I had a Mast Cell tumor
and the vet removed my ear. Thats ok because I can still do everything I did
before, am healthy and it gives me more charecter :) Although I like jumping
from the floor to on top of the door my favorite thing to do is lay on the
cable box.
Meowmie calls me her "boy". We spend alot of time together and at night I
always sleep on her pillow. Meowmie says that I've been with her through
alot of things in her life. I like playing with mom alot and really like it
when she plays her guitar and sings to me.
My sister Jazzy and I joined CLAW in June 1998. I've made learned alot in
CLAW and have made alot of friends. My best buddy is Max Poisson. Max and I
founded the Back Seat Kitties Support Group almost 3 years ago and have alot
of fun leading the group. Aside from the Historical Society & co-leading
BSKSG, I belong to Older Cats Society, Feline Health Society, Thespians,
Purring Paws, Social Committee and Gremlin Hunters Committee. I also teach a
class in the Kittengarten and a class at the U.
