OutCOLD

Title Note: When this project was first announced, it was known as 10 to 1, but it has now been retitled OutCOLD. This new title means this shouldn't be confused with the recent direct-to-video project Out Kold, starring Ice-T.
MPAA Rating: R (official reason not announced yet)
MPAA Rating Notes: (5/3/01) When this was announced, the goal of an "R" was mentioned, but now that the film has been actually made, the official site lists it as PG-13. It appears that someone at Disney changed their mind, probably after all those "gross comedies" tanked this past spring of 2001. (6/21/01) An anonymous source writes in to say: "[this film] will be released with an "R" rating. A PG version was cut to appease Disney in the wake of the advertising laws, but that version won't be released."

Premise: This ensemble comedy is a slobs vs. snobs story set at a ski resort, centering on a snowboarder who wants to start his own snowboarding park on a mountain. His plan goes awry as he and his friends try to gain ownership of the mountain. Emmett Malloy was quoted as saying that they want to make this a "classic comedy" like Caddyshack or Animal House. Filming: Production started on this movie on November 6th, 2000 in Vancouver, and wrapped in late February, 2001.
