“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” – Oscar Wilde
A storm comes to Horizon and the students at Horizon are force to spend the day together within the cabins. Shelby continues with her ways to get Scott, while Juliette sits from a far disgusted with Shelby’s attempts to get with her ex-boyfriend. Juliette and Daisy make a couple of remarks about Shelby, but Daisy pauses for a second watching Shelby from a far. Scott obviously not giving in to Shelby’s seductions calls her a stalker. Shelby finally walks off telling Scott to meet her behind the shed at 7:30. As she walks away towards Juliette, she gloats about what’s going to happen, while Juliette looks with disgust.
The electricity goes out in the cabins and the students are force to sleep close together to stay warm. While gathering together, Sophie notices Scott eyeing her making her feel uncomfortable since she is a counselor. She decides to confide in Peter that Scott probably has a small crush on her, which makes her uncomfortable. Daisy has a small chat with Ezra on what she thinks is going on with Auggie having the hots for Jules and not getting to be with her.
There’s scene where the sheriff tries to hit on the owner of the local restaurant. I’ll skip that part because it wasn’t that interesting and I’m sure you all probably want to hear more about the cliffhangers anyway. Kat walks in to the restaurant to make a call, only to find that the phone wouldn’t work and her unofficial boyfriend Hank. He offers a ride home going through the back way. She wasn’t interesting in talking about their relationship, but after he convinced her that he was only trying to help her out she gave in and went with him to his jeep for her ride home.
Jumping to the next scene, we find Shelby cleaning the janitor shed for Scott’s arrival. She wanted to make the moment perfect. She lit candles and incense to make the room smell good. She wanted everything in it’s place, while Scott was outside helping Sophie gather wood. Kat and Hank find themselves stuck in the mud. When a knock is heard on the door, Shelby tells the person to come in. As the person uncovers his hood from his jacket, we see Ezra. Shelby obviously embarrassed by the fact that it was Ezra and not Scott made her upset and grossed out. As she cleans up all she had prepared, you can sense that Shelby is hurt by what Scott had did to her but tries to hide the hurt within by bribing Ezra into not telling anyone else of what she did.
While being stuck in the jeep, Hank asks about their relationship. Kat confesses that having this relationship with his has become too much and being with him only makes it worst.
Peter and Sophie has an eating fest with ice cream in the kitchen. While they chat, Peter decides to spray Sophie with whip cream. As they flirt, another counselor walks in to tell Peter that the integ room was lighting. He leaves Sophie to clean up to talk to his ex-wife Chloe. He asks Chloe for money to help repair the damages at Horizon caused by the storm.
Hank and Kat share a moment of peace, as Kat lets out all her feelings. Whiling cleaning up the Kitchen Scott approaches Sophie and kisses her. When she pushes him away and tells him that she was going to report him, he responded outrageously by kicking a nearby pan and telling her that she could do whatever she wanted. As Scott walks away he bumps into Shelby. She replies by telling him, “Watch the fire, cowboy.” As she walks away, he pulls her back. Slowly she walks back and he kisses her. She didn’t want to get caught, so she took his hand and lead him outside to the dorms.
As they sit in the car, Kat tells Hank that she isn’t ready for a relationship. She tells him that she needs to rebuild her relationship with her family. He offers to stay friends, but she says that they’re past that. Scott and Shelby come to his dorm to make out. While kissing Shelby, Scott starts to have flash backs for his past with his
step mom. He yells, “Get out!” Shelby finds this strange for Scott to saying while they were kissing, but gets up and leaves. As she gets her coat, Scott screams again. “Get out of here! Get out of my head!” Shelby finds it really weird now, and rushes out. Scott realizes what he had said to her and runs after her and begs her to stay. She told him that he was scaring her and he told her he was scared too, but he couldn’t get his stepmother out of his head. For all you Scott and Shelby dreamers, here’s what they said:.
As Sophie checks on all the students to see if they’re all sleeping, she finds Scott and Shelby sleeping next to each other on the floor and holding hands. She walks away with a smile. Scott has a chat with Peter and apologizes for his action with Sophie. He also apologizes to Sophie. The end of the episodes closes with Hank dropping Kat off before a soccer game while Scott and Shelby get closer on the field.
