Chapter: 35,page :238- “ sends the punkin-headed nigger.” – Tom sawyer.  This shows the attitude Tom has towards an African American man that he doesn’t know personally.  This would give the idea to the reader.

Chapter: 36, page :247- “ Take them in through the hole ( huck said) …” “ Tom only looked scornful, and said something about nobody ever herd of such and idiotic idea”
The attitude Tom gives to Huck indicates he’s either frustrated with figuring out what he wants to do, or he’s mad at Huck.

Chapter: 37, page:256- “So we put the sheet back …,and stole one out of her closest…and kept …putting it back and stealing it again for a couple of days till she didn’t know how many sheets she had anymore, and she didn’t care…”
This quote is a perfect example of how sneaky and slick Tom and Huck were.  The confused woman, until she didn’t care weather her sheets were missing or not.

Chapter:37, page:256- “ …(we) tore up the sheets in little strings and twisted them together, and long before daylight .  We had a lovely rope…We (added) on (to) it, (and) it took a months to make it. This indicates that the boys are talented and craftful.  The rope taking nine months to make showed how dedicated they were to making it. 

“so I’ll mosey along now, and smooch a couple of case-knives.” This quote contains a couple of words someone like you or I wouldn’t catch right on, such as: “mosey”, and “smooch.” Meaning sneak around , and …smooch a couple of case knives, “meaning “ steal a couple of case-knives.”

“-because right is right , and wrong is wrong , and a body ain’t got no business doing wrong when he ain’t ignorant and knows better.”

This quote indicates how Tom feels about common sence.  He believes that a person should do right if they know to d oso.  This makes Tom stand more as a responsible character through this quote.

“We took and lined with dough, and set her in the coals, and loaded her up with rag rope, ..”    This quote really shows a kind of sexiest statement being said byHuck.  He’s referring as a cooking pot as “her”. It’s no secret that Huck passively refered to the pot as “her” , because in his time and day women were the cooks using pots and pans.

“ ( They were al nervous ) because they was always taking off their hats, and putting them on, and scratching their heads , and changing their seats, and fumbling with their buttons.”     This indicates how well Huck can read peoples body language. And sence all the people around him were so nervous,he had to bo calm like he didn’t know what was going on.

“doan’ talk to me –signs is signs, mine I tell you…”   This quote indicates Jim’s Stong beliefs . He  believes he sees signes that always come true for him. He believes he’s gifted.
