Stanley is the trio's strict and bad-tempered landlord. He is very stubborn when he doesn't have his way and when the rent is not on time. He loved making jokes about Jack like calling him "tinkerbell." He loves money and doesn't like when it is wasted. Stanley can sometimes be nosy, which leads to funny misunderstandings. He gets annoyed with his wife Helen for constantly asking him for attention. He really does love her.....but sometimes he doesn't like living with her.
Helen Roper is the trio's kind, loving, landlady. She always did favors for them and always liked helping Jack, Janet, and Chrissy. She wishes that her husband Stanley would pay more attention to her and tries hard to get his attention. She loved a good joke and had a great sense of humor. She also had a good sense of fashion with her muu-muus and jewelry.
