23. The Babysitters Janet is ready to go out on a date when suddenly she remembers something. She is supposed to babysit for Jerry and Punkin Randall! She promised to babysit their baby boy but can't tonight because of her date. She then asks Jack and Chrissy to take her place in babysitting and they soon agree, even though neither of them has much experience with children. Jack is actually a little bit excited to go because the Randalls have a wonderful liquor cabinet and Jack wants to try cooking things. But, the cabinet is locked! Jack also can't watch the basketball game he's been looking forward to because the Randalls' TV is broken. The baby doesn't stop crying and gives Jack and Chrissy a hard time. Jack and Chrissy think their horrible night is over, but then, Jerry calls and tells them that Punkin has gone into labor and their second child is coming! Janet soon worries after Jack and Chrissy aren't home for a long time and goes to the Randalls' the next morning. Jack and Chrissy spent the night there, since they had to watch over the baby. Janet says that she will now watch the Randalls' baby, when suddenly, Grandmother Randall comes over! Janet now must stay with both of them until someone comes home. AIRDATE: January 17, 1978 |

24. Home Movies Chrissy's new boyfriend Neil is very interested in films and when her parents find out about this, they send her a movie camera. She uses her new camera to film Jack and Janet in the apartment. Then, Larry comes over and asks Jack if he can borrow Chrissy's film projector to watch a dirty movie he bought from someone he didn't know at the Regal Beagle. Chrissy almost leaves and Larry continues encouraging her to leave, since he doesn't want her to be in the room for the movie. Chrissy thinks Larry wants to see her home movies. Larry also told Mr. Roper about the dirty movie and he wants to view it too! (COUGHewCOUGH)...then Janet comes home saying that the laundromat is closed and she would also like to stay for Chrissy's home movies. Helen also comes up to the apartment later to get Stanley but also decides to watch the movie. Jack and Larry think they'll be in so much trouble once Chrissy turns on the movie, but it's not a dirty movie after all, it's a Woody Woodpecker movie! In the end, Chrissy dumps her boyfriend Neil since he criticized her film so much and her new boyfriend is a painter. At the end of this episode, we see Chrissy painting a picture of Mr. Roper holding a plunger, only she's not painting him, just the plunger! AIRDATE: January 24, 1978 |

25. Jack in the Flower Shop Jack wants a job but can't seem to find one. Then, Janet gets an idea...they could use extra help down at the flower shop! Then Chrissy says, "Janet, I've got an even better idea. Instead of extra help, why don't you hire Jack?" LOL...anyway Janet does get Jack a job in the flower shop and it seems to be fine at first. But then, some customers come in and Janet becomes too bossy with Jack and gets too hard on him. Jack is hurt and becomes mad at Janet. When these two come home, Chrissy tries to get them to make up but is unsuccessful. But then, Janet's boss, Mr. Compton, who we met earlier this season in "Janet's Promotion" gets very mad at Janet for forgetting to deliver flowers to the Benson wedding, which he specifically told her to remember. When Jack sees this, he takes the blame for Janet's mistake and Jack and Janet make up with each other. While all this was going on, the Ropers were having their own problem. Earlier in the episode, Helen came to the flower shop asking Janet to deliver flowers to the Ropers' apartment with a note signed from a secret admirer. Helen wanted to make Stanley jealous. Stanley soon finds out from the flower shop's delivery boy that Helen is the one sending the flowers, but decides to play along with her and pays more attention to her. AIRDATE: January 31, 1978 |

26. Jack's Navy Pal Jack, Janet, and Chrissy are getting ready to have dinner with the Ropers in 201 when suddenly, Jack's friend, Jim Walsh from the navy calls and says he is visiting. When Jim comes, they see that he is blind. Jim then punches Jack because he thinks that Jack turned him in back when they were in the Navy together. After Jim finds out it wasn't Jack, he insists that Jack hits him. He keeps asking this for the rest of the night, even throughout the dinner with the Ropers. Jack doesn't hit Jim, so Jim decides to break everything in the apartment and says he won't stop until Jack hits him. After Jim nearly ruins the whole apartment, everyone becomes very annoyed and asks Jack to just finally hit Jim. After Jack attempts to, Jim blocks Jack's punch and hits him back, saying, "You should NEVER hit a blind man." AIRDATE: February 7, 1978 |

27. Will the Real Jack Tripper? A strange girl comes over to the apartment saying that Jack got her pregnant. She doesn't even tell Janet and Chrissy what her name is. She tells Janet and Chrissy her story and becomes very, very sad. After she leaves and Jack comes home, Janet and Chrissy tell him his girlfriend was here and that she said she was pregnant. Jack assumed they were talking about his girlfriend Linda, but doesn't remember getting her pregnant! But, he proposes to Linda that day at the Regal Beagle since he thinks she's pregnant. After that, Jack brings Linda back to the apartment and Janet and Chrissy get mad at him. They tell him Linda is not the girl who came over before! Soon, they find out Jack didn't do anything. They find out that the girl who came before was a girl named Sandra and she was Larry's girlfriend. But, Larry told Sandra his name was Jack Tripper! It was Larry who got Sandra pregnant and Jack was innocent. Linda later dumps Jack because the only reason he proposed is because he thought she was pregnant. Sandra later calls Larry to tell him she's not pregnant after all, but that her father is really mad at him and is coming over! Of course, "Jack Tripper" lives in 201 and when Sandra's father comes, Jack isn't home, but Mr. Roper is. Sandra's father thinks Mr. Roper is Jack and becomes very angry at him! 28. A Day of Beer and Weeds Jack, Janet, and Chrissy clean the Ropers' backyard, which has many plants growing out of control. Later, Chrissy finds some nice, tall flowers. When Mrs. Roper sees these flowers that Chrissy has, she asks if she can use some in her floral arranging class. Chrissy gives some to her, but later, Larry tells Jack and Chrissy that these flowers are cannibus, AKA marijuana! Jack and Chrissy become nervous and decide to go to the police station for some help. But instead, Jack gets his bicycle taken away after the police find out that Jack has been drinking some of Mr. Roper's homemade beer. Chrissy calls Mr. Roper at the floral arranging contest to tell him that Mrs. Roper has marijuana in her plant. Mr. Roper panics and smashes Helen's beautiful floral pattern and embarrasses her in front of her teacher. Mr. Roper tells the teacher about the "marijuana, " but the teacher says it is not marijuana, it is a plant called False Aralia and it's safe! In the tag of this episode, Janet, who of course would know the difference between marijuana and false aralia, since she works at a flower shop, talks to Jack and Chrissy about it. They are looking at their new floral arrangement when suddenly, Janet finds some REAL marijuana in it! AIRDATE: February 21, 1978 |

29. Chrissy Come Home Chrissy's father, Reverend Luther Snow tells Chrissy he will be coming over. Chrissy becomes very nervous because the last time her father came, she and Janet were still living with Eleanor. Jack says he will move out of 201 while her father visits, but her father comes early! He sees Jack, the trio tries to explain why how come he's living there, and Janet explains that he moved in ever since she and Jack "got married." Reverend Snow then asks them where they got married, and Jack replies that they were married in City Hall. Reverend Snow says thinks they should be married in a religious way and offers to marry them right in the apartment! Jack and Janet then panic and soon admit they're not really married, and Reverend Snow becomes furious. He demands that Chrissy comes back home with him. Chrissy then tells him that she likes living with Jack and Janet, there's nothing going on, and she's old enough to make her own choices. Reverend Snow still doesn't approve, but then, Jack and Janet each offer to move out in order to make Chrissy happy. Reverend Snow thinks that is wonderful, and now realizes that Jack, Janet, and Chrissy are great friends. AIRDATE: February 18, 1978 |
