7. Ground Rules Jack and Chrissy walk in on Janet while she has a date. The three of them then realize that they need to set some rules for who can use the apartment and when they can use it. They each decide that one of them will have one night for their date. They can't change it, no matter what. Soon they agree and they think everything will work out okay...until Jack meets a pretty blonde girl named Veronica at the Regal Beagle. He asks her out on his night to use the apartment and he thinks everything is fine. But later, Veronica changes the night of the date! He wants to take her back to the apartment, but it is not his turn to use it...it's Chrissy's. Then Mr. Roper comes in and tells Jack that 201 is empty. Jack becomes very happy and takes Veronica back to the apartment. Later, Chrissy comes back from her date and sees that Jack has broken their rules. AIRDATE: September 13, 1977 |

8. Jack Looks For a Job Janet and Chrissy both have jobs, and Jack is feeling guilty that he doesn't have one. So, he decides to try and find a good one. He sees an ad for a magazine asking for a male who is in good shape to model. Jack thinks he can do that, but when he goes to try out, they tell him it's for a nude magazine! Jack becomes too nervous and decides not to do that. Then, he tries to sell encyclopedias. He actually even gets Mr. Roper to buy one.......but on the contract, Jack accidently signs his name saying HE is the one buying the encyclopedias! AIRDATE: September 20, 1977 |

9. Janet's Promotion After the manager at the Arcade Flower Shop, where Janet works, quits, the shop needs a new manager. Jack and Chrissy convince Janet to try and ask her boss for a promotion to manager. Instead, a new girl who just started working at the shop, Chloe, becomes the new manager. The only reason she was hired was because Janet's boss liked her nice body. Janet becomes furious and decides she might want to have her body enhanced. Jack and Chrissy try to convince Janet not to do it, but the person who really convinces Janet is Chloe. Chloe comes over and tells her that she sometimes gets jealous of girls like Janet who get looked at for their brains, not their body. AIRDATE: September 27, 1977 |

10. Strange Bedfellows Janet and Chrissy go away for a day, leaving Jack all alone in the apartment. While they are gone, Jack decides to have a party. Later, Mr. Roper comes upstairs to complain about the noise. But then, he decides to stay for awhile! The next morning, Janet and Chrissy come home. They look in Jack's room and see that someone is in Jack's bed with him! They know there was a party last night because of the obvious party remains scattered around the apartment. When Jack wakes up, he sees somebody next to him! He pulls off the covers and the person turns out to be.....MR. ROPER! Mr. Roper starts to panic and gets so confused. To calm him down, Jack tells Mr. Roper he isn't gay. When Celise, a girl who was at the party, comes over, she tells everybody what Mr. Roper REALLY did last night...he sang "I'm a Little Teapot." The only explanation of why Mr. Roper was in Jack's bed is that he probably got drunk. But then, there's one more thing...Jack's not gay? Mr. Roper then asked Jack and everyone about this and said the only reason Jack told him he wasn't gay was to help Mr. Roper through all this. AIRDATE: October 4, 1977 |

11. Chrissy's Date Chrissy meets a man named Lloyd Cross at the supermarket and they soon begin going out a lot. Jack soon becomes a little jealous. Then, Jack and Janet talk to Mrs. Roper and Mrs. Roper tells them that he knows Lloyd's wife! Jack and Janet can't believe he's married and they try to tell Chrissy. Then, Jack takes Chrissy to Lloyd's home, which is for sale. They meet Mrs. Cross there and soon Chrissy understands everything. To make things even worse, Lloyd is home! She then breaks up with him and never wants to see him again. AIRDATE: October 13, 1977 |

12. Alone Together Mr. Roper goes on a trip and Mrs. Roper needs someone to keep her company in her apartment. She asks Janet if she will, which leaves Jack and Chrissy alone in the apartment for the night. She doesn't trust Jack and tells Chrissy that she needs to try and cover up her natural attractiveness. That night, she appears in a sloppy bathrobe and hair curlers but Jack finds her even prettier that way. The next day, Janet comes home and sees that they obviously had dinner together and sees Chrissy very sad. She assumes that Jack did something to her, but the reason Chrissy is sad because she thinks she's losing her gift of guys liking her, because Jack never tried anything with her. Jack explains that he has a girlfriend and would never do that. But then, Jack's girlfriend dumps him, Mrs. Roper asks Janet to stay with her another night, and Jack and Chrissy are alone again. 13. Roper's Car Mr. Roper wants to sell his car and Jack, Janet, and Chrissy need one. At first, Mr. Roper sells his car to a used car salesman named Mr. Wagstaff, but when Jack, Janet, and Chrissy ask if they can have it, he takes the car back and sells it to them, since they offered him more money for it than the used car salesman. The trio soon finds out that the car is junk and is useless. They can't work out a way of using the car between the three of them and they can't pay for the damages to it either. Then, Mr. Wagstaff tells Mr. Roper that his car is a classic from 1957 and tells him that he wants it. He offers Mr. Roper 1000 dollars for it. Mr. Roper then asks Jack, Janet, and Chrissy to sell the car back to him, but in end, Mr. Roper gets nothing because his car is NOT a 1957 model...it's a 1958 model! AIRDATE: November 1, 1977 |

14. Cyrano de Tripper Chrissy's new boyfriend, Michael Wintrop is a gourmet chef. He thinks she knows a lot about cooking, but she really doesn't. Chrissy tells Jack that Michael is coming over and wants her to cook him dinner! So, Chrissy asks Jack to make the dinner, but hide in the kitchen all night so that Michael thinks Chrissy made the dinner! Jack listens in as Michael talks about his dinner, but also criticizes it. After Michael says way too many bad things about Jack's cooking, Jack runs out of the kitchen and screams at Michael, which makes Chrissy very mad. Jack and Michael begin arguing, until Michael tells Jack that he is friend's with a famous chef. Then, they become friendlt with each other and talk in the kitchen about cooking. 15. Chrissy's Night Out It's late and Chrissy is not home yet. Jack and Janet are very worried about her and when Chrissy finally comes home, she's very upset. Jack and Janet soon find out that a man Chrissy met today thought she was a hooker. Then, a cop named Detective Lannigan, the man Chrissy met today, comes over to the apartment later, and Jack hits him! When Detective Lannigan finally wakes up, he tells Jack he will arrest him for hitting a cop. Then, Mr. Roper comes upstairs. When he finds out that Jack hit Detective Lannigan, he thinks that's funny and tells him that Jack is gay! Lannigan soon worries about his reputation if anyone found out he was hit by a gay guy, and lets Jack go. AIRDATE: November 15, 1977 |
