Then There Was Blood

It was everywhere. It stained the ground, the walls, their souls.
Ron never thought she'd be able to do it. But there she was.
Harry didn't think it was possible
for anyone else to accomplish, let alone one of his best
friends.
There were so many bodies left after they were slaughtered.
And the numbers went up.
Like magic, she had any weapon she wanted in her possession.
And the numbers went up.
Both Harry and Ron's eyes were wide
open in fear, yet they couldn't bring themselves to
look away.
She didn't blink at all. Her hands
were sweaty, but still precise. Her knuckles were white
from clenching her destruction.
"Hermione? Umm...maybe you should
give that to me." Ron spoke up nervously. She
didn't answer him. Or maybe she
didn't even hear him because she was far too distracted.
The adrenaline from the massacre
still ran through her veins.
"I'm your friend and I care about
you. I'm doing this for your own good." Harry reached
out to grab it from her hands, but
she held on steadily.
"Stop it! It's mine!" The fire in her eyes made him loosen a little.
"This is crazy. You can't go on like
this." Ron also grabbed onto it and Hermione struggled
with the two. Her grip was stronger,
but it was too late. The dreaded sound was heard and
they could see the blinking lights
from the corner of their eye.
"No!"
The two words, flashing on the screen, made her scream.
*GAME OVER*
She threw the controller that had almost been like a part of her hand, hard on the ground.
"Are you satisfied now?!"
"You've been playing for more than
6 hours! That can't be good for you." Ron picked up
the discarded controller. "Besides,
it's my turn now."
"Argg!!" She stormed out of the room.
"What?" Ron yelled after her. "You
should be happy. You beat Harry's high score."
