Once Upon a Time

Prologue
 

Once upon a time…when we all lived as one, magic and muggle. When Unicorns roamed the land, and Griffins flew in the clear blue sky. When Dragons were known of, and fairies loved. It was a time of war. A constant battle was going on for the crown.

The land of England, had just been freed from the Roman rule. The German Tribes had ransacked the empire. In turn, causing it to fall, to the barbarians. Christianity was still young and new to the world, but was slowly gaining popularity. Many still practiced the old religion. Those who did turned to Druid and Celtic gods for help prosperity and good health.

It was a time when the world was thrown into confusion. Into darkness. The age of philosophy was gone. Many forgot about the teachings of Socrates, Aristotle and Plato. The world had lost its depth.

It was a time when ones social status was everything, and love meant nothing. The rich looked down on the poor, feeling nothing, and the poor despised the rich. Those who dared to intermingle despite social status soon found themselves in trouble.

This is a story of two young people, lovers, who broke all the rules, to be together, no matter what the costs were.
