Chapter 4
Dreams
 

Well, My date with Tom was pretty fun. We went out for coffee and then we went roller-skating. He’s really nice. When we
got back, Tyra and Gabe kept making kissing noises. We said goodnight and I sneaked a goodnight kiss when Gabe and Tyra
weren’t looking.

When him and Gabe left, I asked Tyra where Draco was and she said in his room.

I knocked on his door. “Draco?”

“Huh?”

“It’s Hermione, can I come in?”

“Yeah, sure.”

When I opened the door he was lying on the bed with his eyes closed. “I didn’t wake you up did I?”

“No,”

“Oh, all right.”

“So, how was your date?”

“It was fun.”

“Fun? Well, that word always seems to come attached with Tom.”

“Oh, good. Something to look forward to!”

“Yeah.”

“Well, I’m heading to bed, goodnight Draco.”

“Night Hermione.”
 

**A/N: Quick Change to Draco’s POV**

When Hermione left, I ‘called’ Tom’s head into the fire.

“Oh, hey Draco! What’s up?”

“Why did you go out with Hermione? You know I like her!”

“Oh, you still do? Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I thought you just liked her in school.”

“Well, I did, but when she came back, I don’t know, something happened.”

“You realize you need to tell me this stuff right?”

“Yeah, I know.”

“Well, what do you want me to do about it?”

“Well, I’m not going to tell you to dump her because she really seems to like you so I guess I’ll just have to deal.”

“Ok, well night Draco.”

“Night Tom.”
 

**A/N: Back to Hermione’s POV, well almost. Sorry if that confused you peeps.**

They sat on the couch, Draco and Hermione, snuggling. They were watching a muggle movie. That’s when Narcissa called through the door. “Draco honey, is the movie done?”
“No, but almost.”
“Well, go outside when you are done.”
“Ok mum.” Hermione looked at him and asked, “Do you wanna go outside now and finish the movie later?”
“Sure” he said. When they went outside they saw Tyra, Gabe and…and Tom. Her and Tom had broken up a while ago. Her and Draco were going out now.
“Come on Gabe let’s go home,” Tom said.
“But, Tom we just got…” He looked at Hermione. “Ooooh. Ok.” Hermione looked at Tom and Gabe. “Look Draco, if you wanna play with them that’s fine I’ll just go sit by the tree and watch.”
“Are you sure?” He said looking at me straight in the eye.
“Yes, I’m sure.”
“Ok, then. Hey Tom you guys can still play if you want Hermione’s going to go sit by the tree.” They played for a while, Hermione’s back to them. Draco looked at her and came to talk. “Are you ok?”
“Yes, Draco I’m fine.”
“Will you at least face us then?”
“Ok…” Narcissa called from inside, “Draco, Tyra, Hermione! Time to come in!”
“Ok!” Draco screamed back. Tom and Gabe went home and they all went inside. They went back to watching the movie. Tyra joined them.
“So Draco, are you enjoying your birthday?”
“Of, coarse I am, now that you’re here.”
“Now that you’re here!” Tyra imitated.
“Shut up!” Draco said.
 

I sat up. That was a dream? But it was so real! How… but… oh, I’m confused! How could I dream that? Does this mean I like Draco? It can’t! Can it? Oh, I sure hope not. And Tom! What about Tom! Ugh! Why me?

The next morning I felt a little weird around Draco. But, I didn’t want to seem rude, so I told him that I had lessons with Tyra and then I was busy the rest of the day so don’t bother me. Ok, so it was rude. But still!

Well, everything was going ok until Draco AND Tom decided to drop by.

“Hey Hermione.” Tom said kissing me on my head.

“Uh, hi.”

“Are you okay?” Draco asked. Oh my gosh! That’s the way he looked in my dream!

“Um, yea I’m fine. Can I talk to Tom for a second?”

Draco looked at him, and then me. “Yeah. Sure.”

“Thank you.” When he left I talked to Tom. **A/n: Sorry if this is too sudden but I want to get this over with.** “Look Tom, don’t take this the wrong way, but I don’t think I am looking for a second date.”

He looked down at his feet, in thought and then back at me. “It’s because od D, isn’t it?” **A/n: “Deedee” rite Ronnie!**

“No its just… well actually yeah.”

“Ok, I guess. I mean I guess its for the best, since he likes you and…” Looks at me hand slapped over his mouth. “…oops… I didn’t say that you didn’t hear me.”

“Did you just say Draco likes me?”

“No! I didn’t! I didn’t!”

“Yes you did!” Draco likes me? I can’t believe it! I always thought I was ‘Potter’s bookworm friend’. Well, I guess not anymore. “Look Tom, I won’t tell him you told me. I just need to talk to him so if you want to leave…”

“Yeah. I will just make sure you send Gabe home at five ok?”

“Yeah sure.” And then, he apparated.

I leaned out the door, “Draco can I, um, talk?”

“Yeah, sure. Where’s Tom?”

“He went home.”

“Oh.”

“Well, we kind of just broke up.” **A/n: Well, if you can break up after the first date**

He grabbed my arm. “What did he do to you?”

“Nothing, he didn’t do anything.”

“Well the… why?”

“Because, well…” Should I ask him? Would he say yes? It’s worth a try. “ Would you want to go out sometime?” **A/n: I know what you are all thinking, FINALLY! Well yes it is happening**

“What?” He looked shocked. The first time in Draco Malfoy’s life he was shocked. Well, unless you count that time in sixth year when Harry zapped him with his wand.

“I said would you like to go out sometime.”

“Well… I…”

“Yeah?”

“Sure I guess.”

“Ok, well I have lessons with Tyra so we will be up in my room.”

“Ok.”

Later, One of the ghost servants told me that she saw him jumping up and down saying “Yes!”
 
 
 

A/n: Yes I know, very short! Look I promise a longer one next time. Well, it finally happened! After 3 gruesome chapters it finally happened! Ronnie, I bet your happy! For the next chapter: Will Hermione tell Draco her dream? (Ronnie, should I tell “gizmo?) And, just after Hermione and Draco get settled, they are visited by two very unsuspected visitors!!!
