Day 6 - Climbing the peak!

Day 6 is our longest day. We woke up by 12am and started hiking by 1am. Hike to the ice tongue took only 1 hour but the rest of the day was grueling and slow. We didn't arrive at the peak till almost noon and didn't get back to the hut till around 4pm. One reason (but not the only reason) that we took so long was that we decided to roped up. It was (and still I think) it's a good idea, but it took its toll. Felippe, our 4x4 driver, was a bit worried that we didn't return at 2pm so he hiked up to the ice tongue to check if he can see us on the snow. How cool was that?
