Personal comments of reviewer

As a student, practitioner and teacher of Nine Star Ki of 21 years, I read and re-read every and all Nine Star Ki titles published since the early 1970’s and I would like to offer some of my personal impressions of this publication.

First of all, I can recommend the publication to all practitioners of the 9 Stars - be they practitioners of Feng Shui or astrology - without any reservations, both as a learning tool, but surely also as a reference book.

As I said, master Joseph Yu not just unlocks the key to the calculation of Day Ki Numbers, he introduces a method of Life Reading and he follows each of the Nine Numbers through their nine year journey through the Palaces of the Luo Shu, emphasizing on flow of Qi. This will render a great insight – yet fairly different from what we have seen published in other titles on the subject - into your path through life, or how your personal Stars are being carried on the waxing and waning properties of Qi throughout a nine year cycle. A true companion on your inner journey.

Having gone through the book several times now, I would have only one suggestion. Since the Ki is similar for both Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere, I would have enjoyed the term June Solstice over the term Summer Solstice and December Solstice over the term Winter Solstice.

For the rest, I will just sit back and have the knowledge pour over me.
