Precession cycle and Earth's orbit around the sun

The New Age hype affects communities around the globe.
Although many meditate on the change from the current Pisces age to the coming Aquarian Age and many link this to intuitive thinking, affirmations and a highly spiritual approach of life, it actually depicts an astronomical event known as precession.

On a 42,000 year cycle, the Earth’s wobble and the angle of the axis, with respect to the plane of revolution around the sun, varies between 22.1° and 24.5°. Less of an angle than our current 23.45° means less seasonal differences between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres while a greater angle means greater seasonal differences (i.e. a warmer summer and cooler winter).

12,000 years from now the Northern Hemisphere will experience summer in December and winter in June because the axis of the earth will be pointing at the star Vega instead of its current alignment with the North Star or Polaris. This seasonal reversal won't happen suddenly but the seasons will gradually shift over thousands of years.

Well, this shows how seasonal approach cannot be the starting point in our Feng Shui studies or in our building of Four Pillars charts.

Precession occurs through the fact that the Earth axis seen against the background of the stars does not maintain a fixed point in space. Precession is caused by powers of the sun and moon – due to their difference in gravitational force – imposed on Earth.
Because of minor differences between the distance between Earth and the sun, certain powers will be influencing the different rotating parts of the Earth, causing Earth to ‘wobble’.

Since ancient times, even going back as far at the Sumerian age, the phenomenon of precession was known. Most religious systems, however far they took us into their analogies, had been based on this phenomenon and are thus based on astronomical realities.

Astronomical observations are hardly recognizable because they are mostly hidden in codes in the several religious of philosophical Books, like the Bible (see the Book of Revelation), the Yi Jing, the Japanese Kojiki, to only name a few. Also in Chinese metaphysics, e.g. in the story of the mythical emperor Fu Xi, we clearly distinguish astronomical relevance.

Pyramids were built around geometrical astronomy to demonstrate astronomical conjunctions and other cosmic phenomena in architecture.
The Egyptians already knew the significance of the precession around 6,000 years ago.

The Japanese macrobiotic teacher Michio Kushi describes the cause of the precession cycle in many of his books and he observes a cycle of 200 million years, known as Great Year, or Galaxy Year.

He further describes an appr.25,800 year cycle, which shows a pole shift every 12,000 years or so, causing a yin catastrophe on Earth, followed by a yang catastrophe 12,000 years later.

A yin catastrophe is caused by nature – think about the Great Flood described in the Bible and coinciding with the Great Flood described in many Chinese literature -, a yang catastrophe is caused by humans.

Kushi relates the yang catastrophe to misuse of fire, e.g. by modern industry and use of wrong fire in the kitchen, e.g. microwave.

A yin catastrophe cannot be prevented, a yang catastrophe can be prevented.
