Kanagi Guruma

Here is the Kanagi Guruma. It is said to be the world’s oldest cosmologic calendar and the origin of the Luo Shu.

You can designate nine seperate squares, or nine seperate Luo Shu glued together if you will.

The subsquare of 4 Wood has the central Number of 40.
All other Numbers in this square reduce back to 4.

The subsquare of 9 Fire has the central Number of 45.
All other Numbers in this square reduce back to 9.

The subsquare of 2 Earth has the central Number of 38.
All other Numbers in this square reduce back to 2.

The central subsquare has the Number 41 in its center, that reduces back to 5.

The basic Luo Shu that we are used to work from is its derivate, where the 4 Wood square is to represent all nine Numbers shown in Kanagi Guruma’s subsquare of 4 Wood.

All Numbers shown in the Kanagi Guruma can be taken over the circumference of the Luo Pan and show degrees and seasonal significances. It takes a year as 369 days.
