Case III

For sake of example, I will show you some of the occurences from my own life, which I feel may be illustrative to the idea of Arrow.

I will concentrate on the fact that I am a – 1958 born - 6 Metal. With my second Number being 3 Wood, this will only add to this dynamic of course, because whenever 6 hits the Arrow, the 3 is on the same axis.

The same dynamic may be true for you, when both your first and second Numbers are on the Arrow. In all other cases, you want to check the Magic Squares showing the Arrow dynamic for your first Number and for your second Number. In those cases, also distinghuish between shifts in your life in the field of your profession and in your private life.

Describing tendencies from my life, I will even leave out the months in which events occured, or it would demonstrate this dynamic even better.

Being a 6 Metal, emphasize will be then on years in the 3,6 and 9 column of the table in the previous section.

In my case, these years seem to typically produce similar events in the field of martial arts (I used to teach Tae Kwon Do) and esoterics. To me, there is no difference between the two.

Leaving out significances of other years and just typing away here, I hope this illustrates what you can do investigating your own life events and checking Arrow dynamics.

There is no doubt in my mind that you will find significances for your own life and that of the people surrounding you.

1967 – 6 Metal
At the age of nine, it suddenly occurs to me that there is another reality than people around me seem to be noticing. I see the planet, its destiny, my destiny and I somehow developed an ability to sense Qi. A strong sense of ‘no barrier’ between visible and invisible world.
 

1973 – 9 Fire

My life takes a definite turn when I take up Tae Kwon Do training and oriental metaphysical studies, like Daoism, Zen, Buddhism, esoterics. I make sure I drop out of school, which enables me to spend even more time in the city’s library and attend to training full time.
 

1979 – 3 Wood

I open a Tae Kwon Do school in the Netherlands and start teaching. I travel to Portugal where I teach a group in oriental metaphysics for a period of three months.

1982 – 9 Fire

Besides general group trainings, I start specializing in private trainings. I start training drug addicts in private sessions. I pass Tae Kwon Do instructors exams. I start meticulous Nine Star Ki studies.

1985 – 6 Metal

Up to this year I kept a low profile on my true interest in martial arts and more or less conformed to what one would typically expect in a Western martial arts dojo. Here, I come out and I extend my Tae Kwon Do school.

It becomes clear to everyone that my dojo is concerned with the inner development of martial arts and we grow out to be a martial arts center for other systems for inner development besides Tae Kwon Do as well, as we introduce classes in Zen, Yoga, Aikido, Kendo, Hsing I, Pa Kua, Tai Qi and so forth.

1988 – 3 Wood

I participate in Worldchampionships Tae Kwon Do in Leicester, UK, I become style champion in my own country, I reach second degree black belt and I pass examinations for my final instructors diploma. I start giving life readings and private classes in Nine Star Ki.

1991 – 9 Fire

Due to a tragic event a year earlier when my Number was in the 1 Water House and opposite Number 5, I should have best quit giving martial arts trainings, but due to issues I upheld concerning etiquette and loyalty and so forth, I had not.

Significant here, however, is that I decided to continue teaching, but not focus on developing my own skills in martial arts any longer, instead enabling myself to fully concentrate on Nine Star Ki and proceed full steam ahead with other esoteric studies, seeking a more professional base.

1994 – 6 Metal

I marry and I find a house. Through private lessons with a Chinese master whom I met in the Netherlands I study flying star Feng Shui, Pillars of Destiny and some Chinese language.

I introduce Chinese compass studies and Pillars of Destiny studies for the Netherlands.
 

1997 – 3 Wood
Birth of my son. I finally quit my martial arts school and I commit to full time teaching and consulting and I design a practitioners program in Feng Shui, Pillars of Destiny and Nine Star Ki.

2000 – 9 Fire

Quite a significant year for my studies and practise, too much to mention, but all quite relevant. My traditional marriage transforms into a wonderful polygamous family. Crucial here were the months of April (3 Wood) and October (6 Metal).

Again, it may be possible that certain events or shifts in my life are strengthened by the fact that both my Numbers will always be on the arrow, but I hope you can find your own relevant events using this technique.

One of your Numbers may belong to one group, the other Number belonging to another group. Again, don’t focuss on years alone, also consider months and days.
