Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler, two of the four band- mates in the all-american rejects, grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma (did i spell that right??). The two had never been close friends, never expecting that the other was as interested in music as he was.
For Tyson, liking rock came in a kind of natural way. His father was a huge music fan and would let Tyson (when he was a kid) stay up all night dancing around in his pj's while watchiig music videos.
As for Nick, he got into music from his sister's collection of records, such as Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and Poison.
In middleschool, the two joined the band, but never really came across each other until one night at a party, where Tyson heard Nick and his band playing and decided to join them.
Pretty soon, the two became good friends. As time went by Nick's old band kind of 'broke up' and they stopped playing together. But Tyson and Nick stayed together and began writing songs.
The two began playing around Stillwater and cut demos. Soon after, they were working with producer Tim O'Heir.
Now with two other band members; Mike Kennerty and Chris Garylor, the foursome make up the live, and energetic punkish/rock band The All-American Rejects.
