Memo to Helene Whitehouse

I was Jean's best friend; we shared a home in S.S. I knew her parents Marian Cousins Aikins and Lincoln very well. I visited them often in Billings Montana and after retiring they moved to Saratoga Springs in a big retirement center. Jean was a devoted daughter.

Jean came to Skidmore College as a young dietetian. She got her master's degree from the University of Washington that certified her as a dietitian. After 45 years of service for the college she was honored by the college naming two dining rooms (serving 2200 students) Aikins Hall. A year later Jean died suddenly, March 14, 1999, while on vacation in Florida. Jean's ashes are marked by a beautiful stone in a campus garden next to Aikins Hall.

P.S. Jean's sister Ann died several years ago...she lived in Albuquerque N.M. Ann had two daughter and one son.
