NOTES: Giles was a farmer. When he was 15 he came over on the Mayflower with his parents. In 1638, Giles went to Mattacheese in Yarmouth which was being settled, to care for his father's cattle which were being wintered there. He built the first house on the Cape below Sandwich.
On March 7, 1642 Giles was elected to a surveyor of highways in Eastham. He also served on the jury there.
