Swirly Mask

For this tutorial you will need
an image of your
choice or you can use mine. Right click, Save as
and save to your hard drive. You will also need
Blade Pro,
Filter Factory A,
Paint Engine or Texturizer,
the Swirly Mask, and
Dee's Pitted Gold Preset,

Open your image and choose
Mask/Load from Disk and
choose the Swirly Mask.
Your image should now look
like this. Now choose
Masks/Delete and answer yes to the question
would you like this mask merged into the current layer.
Next choose View/Image Information
to find out the size
of your image. My image is 240 x 307. Open a new image
10 pixels larger in width and height.
Using the color picker, choose
a color from your image. I used
Color #4C5E75. Using the Bucket Tool, flood fill your new
image. Now add a texture to your background. I used Paint
Engine with these settings.
Click on your masked image
and choose Edit/Copy. Now click on the
background you just made and choose Edit/Paste as a new layer.
Click
on layer 2 and apply a drop shadow with these settings. Next
choose
Layers/Merge All.
Now add a white border of 3
pixels. Using the Magic Wand,
Tolerance 0, Feather 0, Match Mode RGB, select the border
and apply the D_pitted gold preset. Next apply a Filter Factory
A
Pool Shadow with these settings. Selections/Select None.
Next add a border of 15. I
used Color #384A60. Select the border
with the magic wand using the same settings as before. Now
apply a
Filter Factory A Pool Shadow using the same settings as before.
Next choose Selections/Select All and apply a cutout with
these settings.
Apply another cutout, same settings except Vertical and Horizontal
-4.
Selections/Select None.
Add a white border of 15 pixels.
Select the border with
the Magic Wand, Tolerance 0, Feather 0, Match Mode RGB.
Apply the D_pitted gold preset and then the Filter Factory
A
Pool Shadow using the same settings as before. Selections/Select
None.
Now apply another Filter Factory A Pool Shadow to the whole
image
using these settings.
Resize your image using these
settings. If it is still too large, use
the same settings and resize again until you get the size
you want.
I also added a sparkle tube.
Here is my final image!
