 For this tutorial you will need the Storm Gradient ,

the pinchededge mask, the art texture plug-in filter,

Paint Shop Pro 7, and an image of your choice.

If you want to use mine, right click on the image

and choose save picture as, and save to your

hard drive.

 Open up you image and choose Layer/New Raster Layer.

Change your foreground on the style palette to linear

gradient and pick the mqc Storm Gradient using these

settings. Using the bucket tool , flood fill your new

layer.

Change the blend mode on the layer palette

to multiply and lower the opacity to your liking.

I used 60. Now choose Layers/Merge/Merge All.

Next choose Layers/New Raster Layer and add

another new layer. Using the bucket tool , flood

fill the new layer. Next choose Mask/Load From Disk

and choose the pinchededge.msk. Now choose

Masks/Delete and answer yes to the question

would you like this mask merged into the current

layer.

Using the magic wand , click in the center of the

image.

Now choose Selections/Invert. Next choose

Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Antique and use

the following settings.

Now choose Selections/Select None.

Next Choose Effects/3D Effects/Drop

Shadow and use the following settings.

Apply another drop shadow same settings

except Vertical & Horizontal -1.

Now choose Layers/Merge/Merge All.

Change your background color to #3A1F1C.

Choose Image/Add Border and add a border

of 2 pixels. Change the background color to white.

Choose Image/Add Border and add a border

of 15 pixels. Using the magic wand , select the border.

Using the bucket tool , flood fill the border with the same

gradient, same settings. Selections/Select None.

Now choose Image/Add Border and add a

border of 2 pixels. Using the Magic Wand , select

the border. Next Choose Effects/

Plug-in Filters/Ulead Effects/Art Texture.

Click on Edit.

Click on Palette 33 and click OK

Click on pattern 3 and click OK.

 

Now choose Selections/Invert. Then Effects/

3D Effects/ Cutout and use the following settings.

Apply another cutout effect, same settings except

Horizontal and Vertical -2.

I always like to add Corner Dings to decorate

my frames. I used DBL Corners capital E

for this frame.
