Making a Christmas Ornament

This is my version of making a Christmas Ornament.
For this tutorial you will need an image of your choice or
you can use the one I used. You will also need my
ornament PSP file, Dee's Silver Antique preset, and the
silver bow tube. Unzip the ornament PSP file and open
both the image and the ornament psp image. If you
are using your own image, resize if necessary. Click on your
image and choose Edit/Copy. Next click on the ornament
psp image and click on the picture layer. Choose Edit/Paste
into selection.

Now choose Selections/Modify/Contract and contract
by 2 pixels.

Then choose Selections/Invert, then Edit/Clear. Select none.
Now click on the ornament top layer. Choose Layers/New
Raster Layer and name it bow. Click on the tube tool and
pick the dd-silverbow1 tube. I love this silver glitter bow.
I don't remember where I found it, so can't give credit for
it. Next choose Image/Sharpen.

Now adjust the opacity of your gaussian blur layer. I
set my opacity at 57. Make the background layer invisible
by clicking on the glasses. Click on the picture layer and
choose Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Click on the merged
layer and move the ornament down using the mover tool.
Next choose Layer/New Raster Layer. Click on the draw
tool. Using these settings, draw a ribbon for your ornament.

Now choose Selections/Select All. Using the Magic Wand,
click on the ribbon to select it. Flood fill with a pattern or
apply a blade pro preset. I used Dee's Silver Antique
preset. Next Image/Sharpen. Now zoom in using the
magnifying tool and erase the area shown.

Now click on the background layer and using the bucket
tool, flood fill with a color or pattern of your choice. I used
color #6B7262. Apply a texture if you like. I used Paint
Engine. I used the Impression1 preset.

Next hide the background layer by clicking on the glasses.
Click on the merged layer and choose Layers/Merge Visible.
Next choose Layers/View/All. Click on the Merged layer
and add a drop shadow. I used Eye Candy 4000 Shadow
Lab with these settings.

Now choose Layers/Merge/Merge All. I added borders
and a sparkle to the final image.
