Right click on the image,
Save as, and save the image to your
hard drive. You will also need the Book
Template Tube, Blade
Pro, the Blade Pro preset Gold-Glitter,
and Filter Factory A.
Open a new image 400 x 400
transparent background. Add a new
layer and apply the book tube at 80%. Now choose Colors/colorize
to change the color of the book. I used Hue 21 and Saturation
81.
Next choose Colors/Adjust/Brightness/Contrast to darken the
image.
I used Brightness -75 and Contrast 8.
Open up the image you are going to use for the cover. Crop
or resize
your image to approximately 195 x 275. Add a white border
of 3 pixels.
Select the border with the magic wand, Tolerance o, Feather
0. Apply
the Gold-Glitter preset, then Filter Factory A Pool Shadow
with
these setting. Select none then Edit/Copy.
Click on the Book Template image layer 2. Select
the inside cover
of the book with the magic wand, Tolerance 20, Feather 0.
Now
choose Selections/Modify/Expand by 1. Next Edit/Paste Into
Selection. Now choose Image/Rotate, left, free 15. Apply either
a
Drop Shadow or Eye Candy Perspective Shadow. I used Eye
Candy Perspective Shadow with the following settings.

Now click on layer 1, which
should be your background layer. Use
your color picker and pick a contrasting color from the image.
I used
#8E8775. I then used Paint Engine on my background. You can
download
it here. I
used the following settings for Paint Engine.

Click on layer 2 and choose
Layers/New Raster Layer. Now
click on the text tool and add your text to the book cover.
I used
white for the text. Next Image/Rotate, left, free 15. I then
applied
the Gold-Glitter Preset and Pool Shadow to the text. I added
a
Drop Shadow using the following settings, then Image/Sharpen/
Sharpen.

Merge the layers then add a
white border of 3 pixels, select the border
with the magic wand and apply the Gold-Glitter Preset and
Pool Shadow
using the same settings as before. Here is what it should
look like. Save
your image to your hard drive.

If you have Paint Shop Pro
7, open up Paint Shop Pro 7.
Open your image you saved and choose Layers/New Raster Layer.
Flood Fill your image with white. Now choose Effects/Illumination
Effects/Lights. Use the following settings.

Change the layer blend mode
to multiply and lower the opacity to
your liking.

I didn't like how dark the
image was so I chose
Colors/Adjust/Brightness, Contrast using these settings.
