Mom's Garden

Northeastern Ohio

June 11-12, 1999

No.  These aren't birds [grin].  I'm just playing with my camera.  It's a Canon Elan II.  Most of the close-ups were shot with a Tamron 70-300mm at 300mm and using a Kenko 2x teleconverter and Fujicolor 800 film.  I used aperature priority settings (many at f11-f22 and shutter speeds between 1/8 to 1/60.  A tripod helped steady the shots.  The landscape shots were taken with a Canon 28-80mm lens.

I've been taking photos now since March of 1999.  This was my second effort to play a little with composition, lighting, color, and special effects.  It was a lot of fun.  I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.  Of course, having good material to shoot like these outrageously beautiful flowers helps make me look good, too!
