Genealogist's Prayer
Father, help me to probe into yester-year
And sort the fine grains of time
So I may espy the tangled roots
of this kindred of mine.
Lord, help me to tread the arteries
On which my ancestors trod;
And led them further on westward
To find our existing sod.
Lord, help me find an age-old record,
Or a time-worn dusty, musty script
That's been hidden for years secure
In some long forgotten crypt.
Lord, help me to bridge a time-span
That I've been unable before to find,
And fill a missing link of names and dates
So, this family of mine may bind.

Welcome to my family history site. My name is Misty and I have two kids a girl 7 and a boy 6 months. I live in Kentucky and have lived here my whole life. I have been doing family research for a while. I hope you enjoy your visit and find what you need. Check back often because I will be adding more as I find it.

The Name Search
I began leisurely to document and trace my tree
And pinpoint the forerunners before me.
All I had was my Great Grandpap Edwards' name;
Knowing his wife and from whence they came.
I traced them from Tennessee to my Kentucky state,
And recorded few pages with names and date.
From the National Archives' Civil War records came,
He was a Kentucky Volunteer Private of little world fame.
The military records were really quite sad
of his illness; but surely more is to be had.
Upon putting it all together, I've become forlorn.
I desire his parents' names from whom he was born.
To the Edwards' Mail Mode subscribed I recently did
In hopes of finding William Asbury Edwards as a kid.
My hopes are fast growing dim.
Why aren't there more records of him?
I need more data and so I beg!
I wonder if he hatched from an egg?
Dollars and time have been spent on this tree.
Will I ever his parents' names see?
