SURABAYA TOUR 2006

MAS Veterans completed a succesful tour to Surabaya with a win and a draw against Aerowisata Catering FC (5-0) and PT Gapura Angkasa (2) respectively. Rizal Yob was the toast of the day in the first match when he scored a hattrick, while the other goals were scored by Mauzi and an own goal by Aerowisata's keeper.

However, in the next match MAS Veterans was met with a tougher opponent in PT Gapura Angkasa FC. Infact, the match was attended by almost 300 supporters, which was the biggest crowd for MAS Veterans in many years. The match was a bruising encounter too, but the never-say-die attitude by the players did the trick when MAS Veterans came twice from behind to tie the score 2-2. The two goals were scored by RizalYob and Ruzli Putih.

Overall, the team played very well for the tour, and to do it with only 12 players was something that they can be very proud of.
