Battle Royale to crown new GZW Tag Team Champs
27Sept01 Fortune: Welcome everyone to a special Thursday Travesty event,
here from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England! Tonight,
we will have a battle royale to determine the new GZW Tag Team Champions.
Joining me at ringside is Alexander Hunt. This match takes place only three
days from our second ever pay-per-view, Dark Horizon! Hunt: This new teaming of John Profit as the President and Tate
Troublesome as Director of Wrestling Affairs is going to work out great! They
have already evened the playing ground around here! Fortune: From what I was told, this was all in the name of
“fairplay”! Like those two know anything about fairness! Hunt: Watch your tongue, Kandi! You never know if Mr.Profit or
Mr.Troublesome have any spies lurking about! Fortune: The rules are quite simple, to determine the GZW Tag Team
Champions, an over the top rope elimination battle royale will be held
featuring the members of the GZW. The last two men in the ring will be
crowned the new GZW Tag Team Champions! Hunt: So anyone can come out of this thing wearing the gold! Pure
genius! As long as Risky Gold and that idiotic Diamond don’t win again! Fortune: Let's run down the list of competitors for this battle
royale: -Jai-Ray -Pitfighter -Risky Gold, Diamond and Epic -StormRiders, Outlaw Wales and Prey -Eclipse -Giggles/Wylder -The Hardliners, Dan Spitznik and Mace Onslaught -“Kool Hand” Luke LaVerne -Big Country -“MidCard Killer” Pimp Bizkit -Len DeBray -“GiantKiller” Fubu -“The Menace” Union Jack -“Far East Beast” Gideon -“Fairplay Enforcer” Firefly -"Wrestling Franchise” Monarch -The Haires, Willie and Nazal -“Entertainment Franchise” Nathaniel Davis -“Smooth Operator” Billy Bond -“Jade Dragon” Sincere -“HKWF Hitman” Lone Gunman -“The Future” Deacon Kane -“CareerKiller” Maxx Pain -“The Enforcer” T-Rex -“The Desert Storm” Magic -Manic Depression Whew! That is quite a lineup there. The dynamics of this match
just boggle the mind. There may be friendships and alliances, but with the
Tag Team belts at stake... Hunt: Exactly, Kandi. These things are so tough to call. We will
just have to sit back and watch these 30 men tear each other apart! The crowd erupts as the competitors flood the ring. One by one,
each GZW superstar has their sights set on the GZW Tag Team gold. Senior
Referee Richard Dark holds up the Tag Team belts as the other GZW referees
stand around the ring and the battle royale is underway. The scene is pure chaos as 30 men slug it out in the ring, trying
to jockey for position near the ropes to toss people over the top. Fortune: Look, Manic Depression hopped onto the back of Deacon
Kane! Deacon reaches back and grabs the back of Manic's neck. With one
quick toss, Manic hits the arena floor and is eliminated. Fortune: Manic Depression at least went for the World Heavyweight
Champion! Hunt: That’s one way to get some airtime that Manic Depression
doesn’t normally get! Jai-Ray and Fubu battle near the ropes and with a wicked jumping
back kick, the TV Champion sends Jai-Ray over the top rope and onto the
floor. Fortune: Jai-Ray is out! Hunt: I hope Jai-Ray does better on Sunday than he just did now! Risky Gold and Monarch work on T-Rex near the ropes, hammering
away with punches on The Enforcer’s ribs. But like a cornered animal, Rex
fights his way out and starts to unleash a flurry of lefts and rights. With a
quick toss, Rex sends Diamond over the top rope, eliminating one-half of the
current Tag Team Champions. Fortune: Diamond Sledge is gone! Epic is shocked to see his tag partner on the floor. As he turns
around, Epic is hit with a double clothesline from the Haires, sending Epic
over the top and onto the floor. Fortune: And there is Epic to join him! Hunt: Thank goodness! The reign of Risky Gold is finally over! Outlaw Wales and Prey work together to double team Firefly. They
are close to pushing him over the top rope, but coming in for the save is
Union Jack, who promptly dumps Wales over the top rope. Fortune: The Outlaw is gone! Eclipse and Pitfighter slug it out near the ropes. Pitfighter goes
to clothesline Eclipse out of the ring, but Eclipse ducks and then nails a
dropkick sending Pitfighter to the floor. Fortune: Pitfighter is out! Hunt: Back to the pits, Armpit! Gunman and Maxx Pain clothesline Giggles/Wylder out of the ring
next to eliminate him. Fortune: Giggles/Wylder is gone! Hunt: Like anyone thought he was going to last! Gideon and Smooth brawl near the ropes. Gid with a forearm shot
sends Smooth out of the ring and onto the floor. Fortune: Billy Bond is out! Hunt: Head to the back and wax your legs! Smooth is slightly pissed off. He stands on the floor, waiting.
Gid turns around and Monarch, ever the opportunist, hits a superkick on Gid.
Smooth pulls down the top rope and Gideon falls to the floor. Fortune: What the hell? Gideon is now gone thanks to Smooth! Hunt: Back to the Far East, Beast! Smooth and Gid brawl out on the floor with refs coming over to
separate the two. The battle royale goes on. Magic, the ex-GZW World Champ,
hits a clothesline on Len, eliminating FF’s half-brother. Fortune: Mr. DeBray has hit the floor! Hunt: Len is saving his energy for this Sunday when he chokes
Firefly with that chain that both of them will have around their wrist! The Firings, Dameon and Hades, pair off against Country and Pimp.
The two teams are really laying into each other with rights and lefts. Hades
and Pimp are exchanging blows while Dameon and Country blast each other with
punches. Deacon and Gunman quickly come over and blindside Dameon and Country,
eliminating the two former Dark Storm Rising stablemates. Fortune: Dameon and Big Country are gone! Hunt: They have no idea what the Theory is! Hehee! Hades is close to eliminating Pimp, but from behind comes Sincere
to clothesline them both out of the ring and onto the floor. Fortune: There goes Hades and Pimp Bizkit! Hunt: Maybe Pimp can bring some ladies of leisure over to
Smurfville to play with Hades! Now with both teams on the floor, the Firings and Pimp and Country
brawl on the floor. Their melee quickly spills into the crowd. Fortune: Those four men may brawl all throughout the Manchester
Evening News arena! Hunt: You think they could get me a hotdog and beer while they are
out there? Deacon, Gunman and Maxx Pain rampage through the ring, beating
down anyone who gets in their way. The trio eliminate both Willie and Nazal. Fortune: There go the Haires! Hunt: Risky Gold should have some room in their dumpster for you
two! Deacon, being the largest in the ring, draws a crowd. Magic, UJ
and Davis blast him with right hands. Deacon is near the ropes, wobbling.
Davis hits a jumping calf kick to send the behemoth over the top rope and
crashing onto the floor. Fortune: Deacon Kane is gone! Hunt: Oh no! Stop the battle royale! Deacon is not happy at all. He has to be held back by a horde of
referees as he is calling for Davis. Davis turns his attention to Deacon, but
it is a bad move as Gunman comes from behind to clothesline him out of the
ring eliminating the Entertainment Franchise. Fortune: Nathaniel Davis is gone! Now he and Deacon are fighting
on the floor! This is wild! FF with a clothesline eliminates Eclipse. Fubu charges at FF, but
a back body drop sends Fubu over the top rope and to the floor. Fortune: Firefly eliminates two within seconds! The field is
thinning out now, Alex. We got Magic, T-Rex, Firefly, Union Jack, Luke
LaVerne, Maxx Pain, John Taylor, Sincere, Prey, and Monarch. UJ and Monarch pair off as do FF and Kool. The Hit Squad, Pain and
Gunman, team up on Magic as Sincere and Prey beat down on T-Rex and his hurt
ribs and arm. UJ and Monarch go at it near the ropes. Monarch gets the better of
the exchange and tosses UJ over the top rope, but UJ holds on and slides back
in under the bottom rope. Monarch turns his back to him, thinking he eliminated
UJ. But The Menace turns Monarch around, hammers away with right hands and
tosses "Wrestling Franchise" over the rope and onto the floor. Fortune: So long, HKWF Heavyweight Champion by a past HKWF
Heavyweight Champion! Hunt: Shuttup, Kandi! UJ goes over and helps even the odds as he breaks up Sincere and
Prey's double team on Rex. UJ pulls Prey off and lays in thunderous blows to
send Prey reeling. One clothesline later and Prey is sent over the top rope. Fortune: Prey is gone! Hunt: He should have prayed harder! Hehee! FF and Kool tear into each other in the corner. FF lands some
vicious chops to the chest. FF backs up and charges in. Kool elevates his
hero over his head and over the turnbuckle, but FF lands on the apron. Kool
turns around. FF springs onto the top rope and nails a hurricanranna, sending
both men over the top rope, but FF holds onto the bottom rope and slides back
in. Fortune: Kool Hand Luke has been eliminated as Firefly holds on to
keep his title hopes alive! The final seven are Union Jack, T-Rex, Firefly,
Magic, Lone Gunman, Maxx Pain and Sincere. We are down to the wire now! UJ and Rex go after Sincere. Both men work him over, taking turns
with right hands to the head. Rex and UJ go for a double clothesline, but
Sincere drops down and elevates UJ over the top rope and onto the floor. Fortune: Union Jack is gone! We are down to six! Hunt: Back to the butchering block! As UJ makes his way up the rampway, Keiji Tsumi comes from
backstage and spits green mist into the face of UJ. UJ falls to the floor
holding his burning eyes, Tsumi walks back up the rampway as “Dark Lord”
Nagaski Sajiri and his frontman, Bishop Hack step onto the entranceway. Hack
just jumps up and down taunting the hurt UJ. Fortune: I forgot that there was that half a million dollar bounty
on Union Jack’s head! In the ring, FF takes on Gunman as Magic takes on Pain. FF hits a
huge clothesline, sending the LightHeavyweight Champion over the top and onto
the floor. Fortune: Lone Gunman is eliminated! Down to five! Hunt: Damn! There’s goes one of my picks for winning this thing! Magic goes to lift Pain in a gorilla press to toss him over the
top rope, but Pain is far too big. He double ax handles Magic in the back.
Pain then quickly grabs Magic's tights and tosses him out of the ring,
eliminating the number one contender to the World Championship. On the floor,
Gunman locks on the Silencer on Magic. The refs and officials come over to
tear Gunman off of Magic, who is screaming in Pain. Fortune: That damn John Taylor! We are down to the final four!
Firefly, T-Rex, Sincere and Maxx Pain! Who will the new tag team champs be? Long time enemies, Rex and Sincere rekindle their rivalry as Pain
and FF exchange blows. FF with several knife-edge chops leaves Pain’s chest red and battered.
FF goes for an Irish whip, but Pain reverses. FF bounces off the ropes. Pain
elevates him for a back body drop, but FF lands on his feet. Pain charges in
for a clothesline. FF ducks down and elevates Pain over the top rope and... Fortune: Down comes the “CareerKiller”, he is now eliminated! We
are down to three men, T-Rex, Firefly and Sincere! One man goes and the last
two are Tag Team Champions! FF and Rex work over Sincere, taking turns at hammering away on
the Jade Dragon. Both men whip Sincere to the ropes. They try to elevate him,
but Sincere hooks both their heads and drops them both with DDTs. Sincere
lifts up Rex and rakes his eyes. Sincere with European uppercuts rocks Rex's
head. But Rex comes back with thunderous right hands of his own. The two long
time rivals are tearing into each. FF regains his senses and moves in toward
the two men. Rex winds up for a big right hand, but when Rex reaches back,
his elbow catches the side of FF's head and sends FF falling backward over
the top rope and onto the floor. Fortune: Firefly is eliminated! Sincere and T-Rex are the new GZW
Tag Team Champions! Can you believe that, Alex?! One of the most prolific
feuds ever in the GZW has been between these two men and now they are the GZW
Tag Team Champions?! Hunt: Someone should tell them that! Sincere and Rex continue to trade punches in the center of the
ring, neither man letting up. Referees come into the ring to separate the two
although they do not want to stop. Neither realize that they are the new GZW
Tag Team Champions until the referees hand them each a Tag Team title belt.
Sincere has a look of utter bewilderment and disbelief while Rex looks to
Sincere and lets out a primal growl. Hunt: How can these two men work together as tag team champions?
They hate each other! Fortune: You are right, Alex. Their hatred for each other has
dated back to the beginning of the GZW, when we were in the EWO, and now they
of all people are co-holders of the GZW Tag Team belts! Sincere leaves the ring with his tag team belt, pointing at Rex.
T-Rex stands on the turnbuckle, holding his taped ribs, glaring back at
Sincere, his bitter enemy...and now, GZW Tag Team Champion partner. Fortune: Now what becomes of their no disqualification falls count
