| Little Mamushka joined our family in November 2007 at the tender age of 8 weeks. Her mother is Perce-Neige, a beautiful lady cat with haunting eyes, who is in the care of Gaelle, one of my best friends since high school (see my friends page). As she was born on my birthday (Sept 16), Gaelle insisted I take Mamushka in when she would be old enough. I resisted at first ("What? Three cats with my allergies? Plus, the other 2 cats will freak!!") but when I saw her at 4 weeks old, I could not help but crack. She is a "three color tabby" (pretty rare, it seems), with beautiful markings and a fur so soft, I wish I could bury my nose in it all the time! She also has quite a caracter (she knows what she wants and what she wants is to play all night long!!) but she is very affectionate and is basically a happy fun kitten. We named her after a dance invented and shown in the first Adams Family movie (we are movie buffs and we were searching for a another musical name!). Her nickname is Fireball, as she never stops until she falls asleep where she drops!! |
