Queen Beryl
Beryl is Queen of the Dark Kingdom, a loyal servant of Queen Metallia. Her goal is to rule Earth. She is impatient, demanding, and merciless. She does not tolerate mistakes or failures. She demands complete obedience from her servants. She is responsible for destroying the Moon Kingdom. She is in love with Mamoru, and takes control of him during the First Season. She is defeated by Sailor Moon and the ghosts of the Inner Senshi.
Jadeite
Jadeite is the first general that Beryl sent to Earth. He is charming and has a soothing, rich voice. He never rushes, always appearing calm and collected. He is quite sly. He likes to hide in shadows and observe. He uses objects to gather energy from greed, vanity, and gluttony. Other sources of energy include rebellion, panic, love, fame, luck, and scholastic achievement. He is a master of disguise and illusion. He possess strong telekinesis. Beryl sent him to Eternal Sleep for his failures against the Sailor Senshi.
Nephrite
Nephrite is the second general that Beryl sent to Earth. He is attuned to the stars and uses the stars to search for energy, particularly the constellations Sagittarius and Orpheus. He searches for humans with high potential energy. He then visits his targets and puts a youma in an item of theirs, which then takes over the human and gathers that person's energy. When the person's energy reaches its peak a youma attacks that person. Nephrite is extremely complex and dynamic. He drinks alcohol, wears designer clothing, drives a Ferrari, and lives in a mansion. He goes by the name Sanjouin Masato when he poses as a human. Sanjouin is a young businessman who owns his own company. Nephrite interacts with humans more than the other generals. He is suave, dashing, and charming with a smooth, sexy voice. He is arrogant, strong, quick, agile, graceful, and dexterous. He is impudent towards Beryl. He falls in love with Naru, but a youma attacks him and he turns to dust in Naru's arms.
Zoicite
Zoicite is the third general sent to Earth. He's in love with Kunzite, who trained him. He has no respect for humans. He is ordered by Beryl to search for the rainbow crystals. He is very ambitious, determined to earn Kunzite's pride and love. He fears Beryl and is submissive to Kunzite. He is Nephrite's rival. He is vain, conniving and impatient. He likes to taunt his opponents. He is more demanding than Nephrite and Jadeite. He only fights if he has the upper hand, and is a dirty fighter. He hates crowds and rats. He is killed by Beryl and dies in Kunzites arms. His last words to Kunzite are "I grew attached to you." In the American dub, Zoicite is changed to a female. Stupid homophobes.
Kunzite
He is the fourth general sent to Earth. He is Zoicite's lover and mentor. He helps Zoicite with collecting the Rainbow Crystals. He watches over Prince Endidmyon when he is turned to evil. He is well-spoken, mature, confident, cunning, and debonair. He uses his victims' loyalty and weaknesses against them. He is a cunning warrior who studies and researches his opponent before acting. After Zoicite dies, he keeps a picture of the tow of them. He dies alone when Sailor Moon deflects his own attack back at him. Kunzite is also known as Malachite in the American dub.
Queen Metalia
Queen Metalia is the driving force behind the Dark Kingdom. She is a force of nebulous energy that commands Queen Beryl and gives her her power. She is destroyed along with Queen Beryl at the end of the first season by the combined power of Sailor Moon and the ghosts of the other Inner Senshi.
The Rainbow Crystals
1. Red Crystal- Game Machine Joe holds the Red Crystal. He transforms into Game Machine Man. Zoicite captures this crystal.
2. Orange Crystal- A priest has the Orange Crystal. He transforms into Bobo the vulture. Tuxedo Kamen takes this crystal.
3. Yellow Crystal- Ami's boyfriend Greg has this crystal. He transforms into Bumboo. Sailor Moon has this crystal at first but then Zoicite takes it.
4. Green Crystal- Peggy Jones has this crystal and transforms into Veena. Zoicite captures this crystal.
5. Blue Crystal- Rita Blake has the Blue Crystal. She transforms into Techniclon. Tuxedo Kamen captures this crystal, but Zoicite takes it from him.
6. Indigo Crystal- Rei's grandfather has this crystal, and transforms into Pox. Zoicite takes this crystal.
7. Violet- Hercules the cat has the Violet Crystal. He transforms into Bakene. Tuxedo Kamen captures this crystal.
