Europe, the adventure continues...

After leaving Nice, we followed the Mediterranean coast into Italy where we began to make our way inland.  After a stop in Pisa, we arrived in Florence.

Friends, fun, food ... the elixers of life!

After dinner, our guide Larry and one of the dads, Brant, braved the rain to take us to a recommended night spot.  We boogied the evening away! But we were up bright and early the next morning to continue our tour.

Our conclusion...Italian boys are hot!

The street vendors were everywhere.  Of course, we did our part to support the local economy!

After a full day of shopping and sightseeing, we still had enough energy left to take in an evening concert in a local park.  Of course, we were a little late and the band was finishing as we arrived but that didn't stop us!

More pretzels and peanuts, please!

The next day, on to Roma! The Forum, the Collesium, the Vatican, so many places to see.  We used the metro to travel around, always on the alert for pickpockets.

Two thirds of the group extended their stay and also managed to fit in a visit to Pompeii.  It was hard to say goodbye after such a great trip!

Those Italian beauties have nothing on us!

After 12 days, 8 cities/towns, 5 hotels, 4 coaches, and 1 train, our Europeam adventure finally came to an end.  As we fought our way home through crowded airports we took with us a little less money but memories that will last a lifetime.  And the thought on most everyone's mind ... "Where to next?!"

Literally, walking in the steps of history!
