Part 8

They stared at each other, eyes locked together. Ravi glared furiously at the priest while Teylin stared back blankly, his vision not quite focusing on the Captain at the moment. Teylin took the fact that he was still conscious, if barely, to mean that he was getting better at spell casting.

Ravi opened his mouth widely as if he was going to start shouting. He glared at Teylin for a few seconds before shutting his mouth without saying anything. Instead, he turned to bark a few orders to the crew before roughly grabbing Teylin by his wet robes and dragging him towards the Captain’s cabin. Teylin barely managed to keep himself upright as he stumbled after Ravi, but he didn’t have to bother very long. As soon as they got inside the cabin, Ravi shoved Teylin onto the floor.

It took several minutes for Teylin’s mind to process what was going on around him, and when it did he only barely understood why his robe was being roughly pulled off of him.

“What?” He reached up to still Ravi’s hands, but his own were pushed roughly aside.

“You idiot!”

Apparently now the shouting came. Ravi’s eyes were filled with red-hot anger, barely an inch away from Teylin’s own.

“I told you to go below! Why didn’t you listen?”

Teylin flinched at the harsh demand in the Captain’s voice. He shook violently in the cold, his wet chest now bare to the chill cabin air. Teeth chattering, Teylin tried to explain. “The storm...”

He was cut off by another angry shout from Ravi. “We would have handled the storm, but no. You daft priest! Magic isn’t meant to solve everything. Do you ever stop to think? Ever?” Ravi punctuated his words by shoving Teylin backwards onto the bed.

Teylin flinched, both from the words and from the hands that were now tearing at him trying to get his robe off. He fought instinctively, fear setting in at the harshness of Ravi’s actions. For the first time in his life he felt real fear. With each effort to keep his clothes on, Ravi grew increasingly more violent and it was a loosing battle for Teylin.

“Stop!”

A sharp sting in his cheek made Teylin freeze in both pain and shock, allowing Ravi a chance to pull Teylin’s robe the rest of the way off of him. He raised a hand to his cheek as he stared stupidly at Ravi. A few tears welled in his eyes but didn’t fall as he forced himself to calm somewhat from his panicked state.

Ravi threw the robes across the room angrily and glared at the priest. “Stop that.”

Without giving Teylin a chance to reply, he turned and rummaged in one of his chests. Emerging with two large cloths, he threw one roughly in Teylin’s direction.

“Dry off and get under the covers.”

Throwing the other cloth over the back of his chair, he stalked towards the door. His hand on the knob, he turned to glance back at where Teylin lay unmoving on the floor.

“Now!”

Teylin scrambled for the cloth, his eyes fixed firmly on the floor. The cabin door slammed shut, rattling the contents of the shelves around the room and causing Teylin to instinctively flinch at the force of the action. He was still shaking as he hastily dried himself, though he wasn’t sure if it was due to fear or cold or a mix of both. His body ached as he wearily pulled himself off the floor and crawled under the covers of Ravi’s bed. Wrapping his arms around himself, he curled into a tight ball against the wall and tried to convince himself that he was not going to cry.

He was on deck of the ship, watching as another ship drew close. The crew on the approaching ship was familiar to him. Rows of blue and white uniformed soldiers stood on deck, weapons raised. The crew around him rallied their own weapons and fighting broke loose as the two ships came within a meter of each other. Men died around him as the soldiers fought their way to form ranks around him. The soldiers held him, grabbing him tightly as he tried to move to aid the dying men. Ravi’s crew was slaughtered around him, so vastly overwhelmed that there was no hope for them. He screamed as a sword blossomed between Ravi’s eyes, a spray of red arching towards him. Hands covered Teylin’s mouth and he was pushed down to the deck, clawing against his assailants as they held him motionless.

“Teylin! Wake up!”

His eyes burst open as he loudly gasped for breath. Ravi leaned over him, his expression aggravated but with a faint hint of concern visible in his eyes. Teylin sat up partly, glancing wildly around the room as if the soldiers were going to burst in at that very moment. His gaze settled on Ravi’s face, tears welling in his eyes as he realized he had been dreaming. He looked down as his body started to shake with sobs, and he raised a hand to muffle the sound of his crying.

After a minute, Ravi pulled him into an awkward embrace. Teylin turned instinctively towards the unfamiliar comfort. He pressed his face in Ravi’s bare shoulder as tears leaked from him. Ravi haltingly uttered soothing words but they were strained, as if he wasn’t used to comforting someone like this. Nonetheless, they were a comfort to Teylin and he started to cry harder.

“Shh. Stop crying.” The words were half-command, a desperate plea from Ravi to end the uncomfortable situation.

“I don’t want to go back.”

Teylin wasn’t sure what prompted the anguished outburst from him. He closed his eyes tight, guilt pouring over him at the truth of the words. Reaching out with both of his hands, he pulled their bodies tightly together. The realization that he’d never get to feel another person’s touch again made him subconsciously squeeze Ravi as tightly as he could. His chest spasmed painfully as his sobs turned into violent hiccups.

“Calm down. Shh. Stop crying.” Ravi’s voice was strained with panic as his arms were filled with a suddenly near-hysterical priest. Coarse hands rubbed circles over his bare back. “You’re not going anywhere. You’re here on the ship. If it’s that bad I won’t drop you off wherever you don’t want to go back to.”

Taking in a deep breath of air, Teylin forced his mind to go blank. Slowly, he mentally counted backwards from ten, repeating the sequence until his shaking subsided. Gradually he stilled in Ravi’s arms. When he had himself physically back under control he started to pull away.

His effort met with resistance and he was held forcefully in Ravi’s embrace.

“Done?”

Without looking up Teylin nodded.

“Think you can go back to sleep?”

Teylin shuddered, knowing exactly what image would come to mind if he tried.

Ravi sighed. After a moment of thought, he spoke again. “Do you want to... talk about it?” The words sounded as forced as Teylin knew they must have been. That Ravi would even try to comfort him made Teylin smile barely a fraction.

“I wouldn’t know what to say.” Teylin’s was rough from his crying.

“Did you really mean what you said? That you wouldn’t make me go back?”

“Yeah.”

Teylin smiled. He was touched that the Captain was willing to show him that kindness, though he knew it didn’t matter. There was no choice in whether he was going back or not. He pushed that thought aside.

“Why?” The question fell between them softly, and Teylin knew the Captain wouldn’t press him to answer if he didn’t want to.

“I...” He wasn’t sure what he could say without Ravi finding out who he really was. The truth fell from his lips without his intention of saying anything. “I can’t go back there. I can’t be who they want me to be.”

Finally he looked up at Ravi. Strange concern met Teylin’s eyes, a surprise to both of them. As he stared at Ravi’s uninjured face, Teylin knew what the cost of leaving would be.

They stared at each other wordlessly, neither knowing what more to say. Ravi’s eyes betrayed none of his thoughts as he watched Teylin’s face.

Suddenly, the distance between them decreased and Teylin found warm lips pressed against his own. The feeling was completely new to him, and he froze, his senses overloaded by the contact. After a brief second, he accepted the contact as welcome. His eyes slid shut as he went pliant in Ravi’s arms. Something wet pressed against his closed lips and Teylin opened his mouth. Ravi’s tongue pressed in, rubbing against the roof of Teylin’s mouth in a way that made his whole body shiver.

Teylin let himself be pressed back into the sheets, not caring what was going to happen to him as long as it involved Ravi touching him. He wanted to be touched more. He wanted to feel everything that a normal person was able to experience. Ravi complied with his unspoken wish as the pirate captain settled over Teylin, effectively trapping him to the bed with the weight of the older man settling over him. A moan surprised Teylin by emerging from his lips as Ravi pulled away to look down at him from above. Hand ran down his bare sides and he shivered.

“Tell me to stop.”

Ravi’s mouth kisses the side of Teylin’s neck, hands exploring farther south.

“Please don’t stop.”

Teylin forced himself not to think of the implications of what they were doing. He promised himself that he wouldn’t think about what he knew would happen tomorrow. Instead he relaxed his body and let himself revel in the tides of feeling washing over him.

His legs were being spread, an eager hardness pressed between them and Teylin spread his legs wider. Ravi growled slightly above him and kissed Teylin fiercely. A second later, Ravi forced them apart, pushing off Teylin’s gently pulling hands to lean over the edge of the bed. He searched for a moment before returning with a clear vial. Teylin welcomed him back with a kiss. Wrapping his arms around Ravi’s neck, he made it clear that he didn’t want Ravi to go anywhere anytime soon.

Ravi kissed him deeply while he fumbled with the vial. A few seconds later it was placed off to the side of the bed. One of Ravi’s hand’s slipped between their bodies, moving down until a slick finger pressed into Teylin.

“Ah!” With a gasp, Teylin froze. Pain shot through him where Ravi was inside of him.

“Shh.” Soft kisses rained along the sides of Teylin’s face and neck while Ravi’s free hand rubbed circles into Teylin’s bare stomach. “It’s alright.”

Teylin looked up at Ravi. The slight softness in Ravi’s normally stern expression made him force his body into relaxation. He was glad for his years of training as a priest, a simple meditative exercise allowing him to calm his body despite the pain. Ravi pushed further inside and he focused on his breathing, slow breaths in and out relaxing his body further.

Ravi’s mouth moved down Teylin’s chest as another finger pushed inside. He focused solely on his meditation, mind withdrawing from the outside world in order to keep his body relaxed. He dimly felt Ravi’s mouth moving lower over his stomach.

A loud shout burst from Teylin as he was suddenly jolted out of his trance. Ravi’s mouth had found its way to the juncture of Teylin’s legs and was proceeding to pay strict attention to the budding erection found there. Teylin found it impossible to return to his meditative state. He didn’t need to as his attention now focused solely on the actions of Ravi’s mouth. His back arched off the bed as Ravi took Teylin into his mouth. A quick rub of Ravi’s tongue along the underside of his erection and Teylin exploded with the immense pleasure.

He gasped loudly, eyes wide as he came unexpectedly into Ravi’s mouth. The pirate captain seemed to have been expecting this and he swallowed the gooey substance, causing Teylin to moan at the action. The room seemed to spin out of focus for a few minutes and when it refocused, he found Ravi leaning over him.

For the first time since he had been brought aboard the ship, Teylin saw Ravi smile. It was just a slight upturn of his lips, but the action brought a blinding smile to Teylin’s lips in response. Wordlessly, Ravi positioned himself between Teylin’s legs. They kissed again and Teylin tasted a bitter saltiness as his legs were lifted and placed around Ravi’s hips. In one quick thrust, Ravi seated himself inside of Teylin. Surprisingly, the action didn’t hurt as much as Teylin expected. He was too mellow and relaxed to mind the slight burning as Ravi moved inside of him, rhythmically pushing in and out in a pattern of increasing speed.

Teylin’s arms tightened around Ravi’s shoulders as he breathed harshly. He shivered with building pleasure as Ravi moved. Kisses came erratically as Ravi fought to control himself. A sudden, sharp thrust caused Teylin to gasp in pain. Ravi stilled completely until Teylin pushed up into the joining, letting Ravi know it was alright. Only a few more thrusts and then Ravi jerked violently with a loud cry. Teylin moaned as he felt warm liquid shoot into him, his own body shaking with pleasure in response.

They lay still for several minutes, their breath slowly drifting back to normal patterns. Teylin let his limbs unwind slightly as Ravi separated them, though he maintained a light embrace around Ravi. He felt Ravi move them so that they were side beside as the day’s exhaustion wore down upon Teylin. As he was drifting to sleep, he mumbled absently into Ravi’s shoulder.

“I don’t want to be alone.”
