Welcome to the Oriental aisle! My name is Allan Balangue and I am an Asian American Studies major at California State University, Northridge. I decided to do a final project for my Asian American Media class on Asian junk food and frozen Asian foods. What I did was take a trip to a few big Asian grocery stores and bought snack foods that were familiar to me and foods that were "weird" to me. Then, I got a bunch of my friends together and we tried them out. I took notes on our opinions and now I present them to you. We are all students and we are all Asian Americans. Some of us grew up eating this stuff, others (like me) have not. We are NOT food experts or critics, just students who like food. We eat junk food very frequently but most of us don't grab Asian junk food when we get the munchies.

The purpose of this site is to discuss various types of Asian junk food and "Asian" food that you find in big grocery stores like Albertson's and Vons. We're just here to tell you how things taste. Hopefully our comments will help you avoid certain foods and devour others.

The site is divided into five main sections, only two however, deal with food.

In the near future, I hope to add many more types of Asian snack foods and frozen foods. Hopefully I'll be able to add another section on Asian fast food restaurants here in the Southern California area. Don't forget to post your comments on the message board in the About Us section!
