Sweet Potato Chips We looked at the bag and thought "This should be all right..." Patrick thought it smelled like bamboo shoot biscuits. Wes thought it smelled like shrimp chips. They resembled shrimp chips in size and shape. They did have some black seeds on them though... They were really crunchy and tasted sugary. The aftertaste was tolerable. Taste like shrimp chimps with out da flavaz! (wes). The sweet potato chips get a B because they tasted good. The sweet potato is fully accentuated by the sweetness of the chip (patrick). |

Calbee Baked Shrimp Flavored Chips These should be familiar to a lot of Asian American kids out there. I grew up eating these (allan). Some of us thought that these would be gross because of the shrimp flavor. I like the pink dots on the package (wes). Shari did not like these because of the shrimpy taste. Wes, Patrick, and I on the other hand liked them. They were fishy yet satisfying (patrick). Good for a small size! (wes). They're baked not fried! Yes! (shari). Right now, the shrimp chips get a C because of an overpowering shrimp taste. You either love it or hate it. Some tasters thought that the taste "gets old." You can't keep eating them because they get too salty. |

Calbee Baked Snow Pea Crisps Honestly, these scared us. I stayed far away from pea-based snacks (allan). They looked funny (patrick). They do not look good (wes). Patrick thought they smelled like new electronics. Wes said they smelled like vinegar. We did not know what to expect when we ate these...When you put them in your mouth, they collapse. It was like eating a salty dust bunny (allan). They tasted burnt (allan). These taste like old ham! (patrick)...More like expired Spam (wes). One piece was enough. We freaked out because we couldn't get the stuff off of our teeth. My mom thought they were good (allan). YUCK! Definitely an F. This is the kind of thing you give to people you don't like. |

Pinoy Snacks Fish Crackers This was another snack that scared us. We couldn't open them at first and we almost gave up on them. A strong whiff of vinegar let us know that it was opened. They looked extremely salty. They looked like pork rinds and had the same texture. They tasted like rotten pork rinds (patrick). They sort of felt old and musty (allan). The fish flavor was overpowering and made some of us gag. We're giving the fish crackers a D. The fish flavor was way too intense. |
