A Hotel Feasibility for METU Ankara Alumni Association in Visnelik (100.Yil) using Light Prefabrication Technology
Project Background
Each year,METU, the most reputable university in Ankara,
has many graduates. They either continue living in Ankara or start living
in other cities/countries. But their relations with the capital city never
ends. They may visit for business, fun, etc. They mainly require a place
to stay which is mostly a hotel. As METU has only a insufficient misafirhane,
our graduates stay in big hotels and pay much.
Now, there is a project to build a middle sized hotel
in Vižnelik
Project Objective and Strategy
This feasibility study will helps Alumni Derneši obtain
permanent financing. It will increase the confidence of prospective lenders.
The GM can use this study to obtain a franchise or management contract,
attract members of Alumni. And this study provides a description of the
local area and potential markets, recommends proposed facilities and projects
cash flow.
The aim of the project is to serve as a staying (lodging)
place, and make our graduates pay less. The hotel will be a support building
for the Alumni Center. The Alumni Center is in Vižnelik and has many facilities
within ( METU ALUMNI CENTER). So, the hotel will not have some facilities
like restaurant, solarium, recreational areas...It will serve to METU graduates
a night-stay place which will be supported with Alumni Center.
METU Alumni Center Facilities
Metu Alumni Center, operating near by the Metu-campus
area, offers many opportunities. Center has a main building having a restaurant
available to serve a group of 250-300 guests, a café-bar serving 50-60
people, dance bar and snack bar, outside swimming pools for adults and
children, a sauna, a massage center, entertainment sites; billard, dart,
a wide lobby, outside facilities including a parking area, running ways,
picnic areas, grill bars, outside fitness complex, amphi-theater etc..
Center is managed by Ayhan GULSOY. A large group of
staff is available at the restaurant, café-bar and at administrative offices.
Its assumed that for the proposed hotel all of the
facilities at the center is open for the use of the hotel guests. For that
reason the nature of the hotel stands as the guesthouse for the metu people.
Project Location
Alumni Center/Vižnelik is to the west of the city Ankara and in METU campus area. The hotel will be in a mid-forested area.
Economic and Industrial Policies Supporting the Project
Our graduates are all in high positions and donate funds and equipment. Also Alumni Derneši pay monthly fees to support such activities.
