Part 14 Couple Days Later Maria is sitting in a booth at the Crashdown waiting for the waitress who turns out to be Liz. Liz wasn’t paying attention until it was too late. “What can I get you?” Liz asked in a cold voice. “I want to talk to you, do you have a break soon?” “Yes I have a break soon but why would I want to hear anything you have to say.” “Just hear me out please.” “Fine, let me go tell the other waitress and Michael I’m taking my break.” Liz said but left before Maria could say anything. Five minutes later Liz was sitting across from Maria. “Ok, I know your upset at Max and I but I’m not sorry that I fell in love with him or that he fell in love with me. He’s a great guy to have loving me. I am sorry that you and Michael got hurt but you both had broken up with us so it wasn’t like we were cheating on you two. We are going to date no matter what happens. I love him and I will not give him up for anyone. I want your friendship and if we can’t keep it, I don’t want to drag the rest of the group in our problem because they are happy for Max and I. They want us to be happy and we are happy together.” Maria explained. “I’m very pissed with you Maria NOT Max. I know how you are I know how you seduce men. When Max gets bored with you he’ll come crawling back to me. Of course I’ll take him back, so I can rub it in your face that you are nothing but a slut. I don’t want your friendship ever again. I just kept you around to make you jealous of what you didn’t or couldn’t have. For everyone else being happy for you guys is bullshit because Michael isn’t happy about it he hates you and Max. Michael doesn’t realize he’s better off without you in his life. He’ll realize that Max was tricked into your life, like I already know and he’ll forgive Max but not you and then you wont have anyone just like it should be. For the others they aren’t anything either except for maybe Alex but the jury is still out on that one because of his snob for a girlfriend, who I could never even stand. Oh yeah one more thing, you deserved everything you got from David. I might have been crying when we found you but that was because I realized how far Max was pulled into your traps. You no longer have employment at this restaurant and I want you to leave now.” Liz said before she stood up pointing at the door. Maria just say there in complete shock at what Liz just said. Finally snapping out of the shock, she stood up, walked over to Liz and slapped her as hard as she could across the face. Making Liz head snap to the side and having everyone else in the restaurant turn and look at them. “YOU BITCH!” Maria yelled then walked out the door leaving Liz standing their holding her cheek. “I think she let you off lightly for what you just said. Don’t you ever speak for me again. Maria is ten times the person you’ll ever be. Max fell in love with her because she is right for him and you are not. If something does happen and they do break up, he would never come back to the likes of you. For me hating Max and Maria you’re wrong. Yeah I said some mean things to them but we worked it out. You stay away from both of them.” Michael said then started walking towards the door but turned around. “Oh yeah I quit.” Then he through his apron in Liz’s face. “YOU ASSHOLE, SHE’S GOT YOU IN HER TRAP TOO.” Liz yelled after him. “God what is wrong with men these days.” She mumbled to herself as she walked into the break room. |
