PART 13 Max and Maria Max and Maria are sitting on the couch thinking about what had just happened between them and their friends. “How are you doing Maria?” Max asked. “I’ve been better. I’m glad that Kyle, Tess & Alex don’t hate us but Michael and Liz do. I never wanted to hurt them but I can’t help who I fell in love with.” Maria answered, then leaned over onto Max, who wrapped his arms around her. “I know babe. I did love Liz but she pushed me away like Michael pushed you away.” Max said. “We didn’t think we would push you two into each others arms.” Came a voice behind them. Which made Maria and Max jump and look towards the door to find Michael standing there. “Michael?” Maria said with a questioning look, Max just stood up. “No need to get up Maxwell. I’m not here to fight, just to talk.” Michael said as he walked over to the chair and sat down. Then Max sat back down next to Maria. “I thought you said everything earlier.” Max said, then grabbed Maria’s hand. “I came back because I don’t want you two to think that I hate you. I don’t hate you. I have no right to hate you because you guys are right. Liz and I dug our own holes by pushing you guys away. I gave up Maria and she moved on. I still love you but atleast I know Max will treat you right and I wont have to worry about keeping you safe. I still want and need you both in my life and that will never change.” Michael said finally looking at Max and Maria. When he looked at Maria she had tears flowing down her face. “Michael, I’m sorry for hurting you. I know you still feel that we betrayed your trust and you have every right to feel that. I’m glad that you still want to be in our lives because I need and want you in mine for as long as time.” Maria said. “Michael, you’re my brother, my best friend and my second in command, I need and want you in my life for as long as we live. I know it will hurt to see us together at first but that will only last so long and you will find your special someone.” Max replied, never taking his eyes off Michael. “It will hurt for a little while but as long as both of you are happy then it will be okay. As far as me finding my special someone, I’m not looking for her because I thought I had her already. Plus I need to worry about other things that are more important.” Michael answered. “So we are okay then?” Maria asked. “Yeah, yeah we are. I need my family and my family included the two of you the most. Now as far as Liz is concerned and if she will come around, I wouldn’t hold your breath. She is very unhappy about this whole situation and she thought she would be able to have Max back whenever she wanted him back. She feels more betrayed then I ever did or ever will. We’ve talked about it, actually she talked and I just listened to her talk and nodding my head. She didn’t like the way your relationship had changed while she was in Florida.” Michael explained. “I’ll try and talk to her tomorrow. She has to understand that we never meant to hurt her or you, it just happened. How many times are we going to have to explain that we didn’t purposely fall in love with each other it just happened. I hope she doesn’t think we did this for revenge. I mean come on, I can think of other ways for revenge then to sleep with her ex-boyfriend, get pregnant then get raped and stabbed.” Maria tried to joke. “I know Maria. Just give her sometime, either she’ll except it or she wont and if she doesn’t then she wasn’t the friend you thought she was.” Michael said. “Okay I can officially say that I never expected this day to end like this. I figured Michael would be the one we’d have to worry about hating us for life not Liz.” Max said. “I also want to apologize for my remark earlier about sleeping with Maria. I was just upset and it came out.” Michael said. “You’re forgiven because there is nothing to be sorry about. I knew you were mad and I think I was let off easily from your usual wrath.” Max replied. “Well I better go. Maria you look like you’re about to pass out. So I will see you guy tomorrow.” Michael said as he got up. Maria let go of Max’s hand and tried to stand up. Michael noticed this and helped her up, he went to let her go and Maria pulled him into a hug. “Michael I love you and I always will.” Maria whispered into his ear then kissed his cheek and pulled away. “I love you too and I will forever.” Michael said back then left the house. Leaving Maria and Max staring after him. “I will go to Liz in a couple of days and talk to her alone. I think it will be better that way.” Maria said as she turned into Max. “OK, if that what you think is best but let get you up stairs for some rest. We’ll talk more later plus we’ll have to let everyone know about what just happened with Michael.” Max said then helped Maria up stairs. |
