Finally Isabel got over her shock and start talking. “When did this happen? And quit laughing at me.” “We’ve been exclusive for about the last six months but we’ve been seeing each other for about three months prior to being exclusive. We’ve been waiting far Max and Maria to tell us that they were dating.” Liz explained. “Why didn’t you tell is about you two until now?” Kyle asked. “We wanted to make sure it was gonna work out before we told anyone. It had nothing to do with Maria and Max. We knew they would end up together about 2 weeks after we broke it off with them. Max was staring at Maria they way he use to do with me. Maria was harder to tell that she liked Max as more then a friend. I knew for sure when Max did something really stupid and she ranted and raved about t like she use to about Michael.” Liz said. “This was before anything started with Liz. After we broke with those two and started working together more our friendship grew into what we have now.” Michael said. “We are too. But I have a confession to make. I know it was the past but Max and I kiss while we were with you two. It happened about two weeks before Liz broke it off with Max and one week before Michael broke up with me. I thought you two found out about it and that’s why you broke up with us.” Maria explained. “You two were betted to kiss at Doug’s party. I knew about the kiss because I saw it.” Michael said and waited a minute before he continued. “It was why I broke up with you but it’s not what you are thinking. I should have been pissed because you were my girlfriend and best friend but I wasn’t. That’s was why because I was happy to see you kissing someone else. It made me realize that I had fallen out of love with you but thought of you as my friend. Actually my best friend. I was just staying with you because it was safe and you knew my deepest darkest secrets. So I could tell you were falling for someone else. I saw that kiss, it was more passionate then any kiss that we had shared for quite awhile. I was a kiss of two lovers who had just reunited after being separated for a long time.” “Why didn’t you say anything about the kiss before. God Michael I felt so guilty about that kiss because I did enjoy it. I was in love with you but I had feelings for Max too. That’s why I pushed Max and Liz away after Doug’s party. I’m so sorry.” Maria said. “Nothing to be sorry about. Thing happen for a reason.” Michael said. “Damn Michael when did you become this insightful.” Isabel said. “He always has been.” Maria said as she smiled at Michael. “So Liz did you know about this infamous kiss between Max and Maria?” Kyle asked, enjoying this a little too much. “I heard about it from people who were at the party. I wasn’t as lucky as Michael to see it but people at the party kept talking about the KISS the rock the room. Some one said two people were betted to kiss but the kiss was no friendly kiss. They hadn’t seen a kiss with that much passion since Dawson and Joey. Except that the girls’ boyfriend witnessed the whole thing. They weren’t saying any names. But I knew Max and Maria went to the party, so I was going to ask them. I never got the chance because Whitney Johnson told me who it was. Said Michael had witnessed the infamous kiss. I didn’t believe it because Michael and Maria walked into school hand in hand and kissed as if nothing happened. So I never talked to you two about it but I did ask Michael they day he broke up with Maria. He said he didn’t know what I was talking about.” Liz explained her part but took a breath before she continued her confession. “That was the day I started really thinking about my relationship with Max and realized that we were headed in different directions. I wasn’t even upset that you two kissed either that’s how I knew I wasn’t in love with Max anymore but thought of him as a great friend. I also realized how unhappy Max was with me when I saw him out with Maria. He would smile and laugh more. He came out of his shell and I knew I would never be able to be like that. So I called Alex in California and explained everything that had happened. He came to the same conclusion that I had. That I wasn’t in the with Max anymore.” “Wow! Tonight is a night of confession. So I guess it is my turn. I wasn’t unhappy with Liz when she broke up with me because I was thinking about doing the same thing with her. That’s not my confession this is. I was Michael at the party right before Maria and I kissed.” Max said. His confession got the most silence yet. “I saw him but I still kissed Maria. I knew I had feeling for her for awhile but I also still had feeling for Liz. I wasn’t unhappy with Liz because I did love her but I did realize how much happier I was with Maria. With Liz I was to responsible, never acted like a teenager, and I was boring never wanted to do anything but with Maria I acted my age, I went to parties, stayed out all night and skipped classes and I also was laughing and smiling all the time. I did things I wouldn’t have done with Liz because is not that type of person. She is responsible and wants to be a good person. I’m not saying Maria is a good because she is the greatest but she was so spontaneous and didn’t care what other people thought of her. I knew about my feelings for her but I wasn’t sure she had the same feeling towards me until we kissed that night. I wouldn’t have normally done what I did that night because I did want to ruin five different relationships (Mi/Ma, Mx/Li, Li/Ma, Mx/Mi & Mx/Ma) but I knew Michael hadn’t seen me seeing him, so I thought what the hell and kissed Maria in front of everyone including Michael. I also saw Michael walk out without saying a word and Michael smirk on his face. I knew then that Michael wasn’t mad because if he was he would have made a scene in front of the party but he didn’t.” Everyone was quiet for a few minutes then finally some one broke the silence. “I’d have to say Max had the biggest confession out of the four.” Kyle commented. “I’d have to agree.” Isabel said. “I have to go, I’m sorry.” With that said Maria left the Crashdown. “I better go after her or she will get a surprise when she gets to her house the she wont want to see.” Kyle said then went after Maria. “Isabel could you help take these things to the back.” Liz said. “I’d love to.” Isabel said with the two left Michael and Max alone. |
