| {Saturday} Maria is sitting in the kitchen waiting for Isabel to pick her up for their shopping spree. Max had just left to go home with Michael. They have stayed with her every night since the night Jerry showed up on the front porch and Michael hurt his hand. Kyle was in the shower and Jim was at work. Maria was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t hear Isabel knocking on the door. Kyle happened to be coming out of the bathroom and heard the knocking and went to answer. When he open the door he saw a very annoyed Isabel standing there. “What took you so long? I’ve been knocking for ten minutes. Where is Maria?” Isabel asked. Kyle didn’t answer he took off to find Maria. He went into the kitchen and found her sitting at the table with a smile on her face but with a far away look in her eyes. He stopped so quick that Isabel didn’t have time to stop and ran into Kyle knocking him into a chair that fell to the floor with him in it and brought Maria out of her daze to look up and see Isabel standing their looking at her. “Oh hey Isabel, when did you get here?” Maria asked not noticing Kyle on the floor. “About ten minutes ago but I just actually got into the house when Kyle let me in. Maria are you feeling all right?” “Yes, I’m doing great. I was just off in my thoughts, sorry. Well let’s get out of here.” Maria said, still not noticing Kyle still laying on the floor. She stood up and tripped over him, falling on top of him finally noticing him. “Oh my god Kyle are you all right?” “I’m fine Maria. Would you get your bony ass off of me, so I can get up.” Kyle said. Isabel just laughed as Maria and Kyle struggled to stand up at the same time but kept knocking each other back down. “Kyle just sit still and let me get so I can go shopping plus we still have to pick up Liz. Make sure you three guys meet us at 1:30 at the Crashdown.” Maria said, finally able to stand, the proceed to lean over kiss Kyle’s cheek, grabbed Isabel’s hand and left Kyle laying on the floor watching their backs. |
