{Couple Hours Later} Maria is sitting in her room when she hears Jerry come in. He walks right to her room. She could tell that he was really drunk, worst then any of the other times. “I heard you were in a fight today,” Jerry slurred while walking towards her “with my bosses daughter. I will teach you for misbehaving.” He then slapped her hard across the face making her fall on the bed. He walked over to her and straddled her legs, ripping her nightgown off leaving her there in only her thong. Then he decided to punch her three times in the face now she has blood running down her face. She is really scared now because he has never hit her in the face or taken off her cloths. He keeps on hitting her all over. She screams at the pain, finally he turns around and walks out. She waits until he is out of ear shot range before she gets to her phone and calls Max. “Max here.” “Help me Max.” Is all Maria can say to keep herself from breaking out into sobs. “Maria is that you. What’s wrong?” Max asks with a worried tone. “Help me before he comes back.” Maria says then breaks down into sobs. Max hears the phone drop and can hear a males voice ‘Who are you calling bitch, no one can help you now.’ Then Maria screams. Max keeps the phone on and runs out of his room to the living room to where Michael, Kyle, Liz and Isabel are sitting. “Kyle we have to get to Maria’s someone is hurting her.” Max says as he stops at the couch. “What are you talking about?” Michael asks but Kyle is already up. Max hands his phone to Michael. “Listen.” Is all he says as Michael puts the phone to his ear and can hear Maria’s screams of pain and sobs and also a man’s voice. Michael jumps up and follows Max and Kyle out to the Jeep. “Michael and Kyle if you leave to help her we are done with you two.” Isabel yells but her only answer was the door slammed. Ten minutes later Kyle, Max, and Michael run into Maria’s to hear the man’s voice, they follow it to Maria’s room to see her cover in bruises and blood and Jerry kicking her in the stomach. Michael and Kyle tackle him while Max went to Maria. “Call 911. She is unconscience. Kyle get your dad here.” Max said. Kyle grabs his cell once he knows Michael has a strong hold on Jerry. “Sheriff Valenti speaking.” “Dad, get over to Jerry’s. He has beat the shit out of Maria. I told you he was hurting her but you didn’t believe me. If you had this wouldn’t have happened.” “How bad is she Kyle?” “She is unconscience, blood every where and she doesn’t have any cloths on.” Kyle said with tears in his voice. “It is really bad dad.” “Dammit, I will be right there in five minutes. Keep him down. Wait who’s there with you?” “Max and Michael. But that doesn’t matter just get here.” Kyle said then hung up the cell. He turns to see Max’s angry face. “You knew this was happening to her and didn’t say anything to me.” Max said still holding Maria’s body to his. “I couldn’t prove it. She never said anything. I tried to get my dad to check it out but he wouldn’t because Jerry was his best friend. Not looking at Maria’s body in Max’s arms. They sat in silence until they heard the sirens outside. Jim came running into her room and stopped dead in his tracks he saw Maria’s body in Max’s arms, he was followed by the paramedics. By this time Michael had knocked out Jerry and was sitting next to Max and Maria. “Okay boys we need you to move so we can help her.” One of the paramedics said. Kyle, Michael and Max got up and moved out of the room. |
