Part 19 Lunch Isabel, Liz, Kyle and Michael are sitting at there normal lunch table waiting for Max and Maria to join them. Finally Maria is walking over and Max is now where to be seen. Maria keeps her eyes on her table but can hear some guys whistle and yell things at her. When she finally reaches the table she finally breaths. “Where is Max?” Michael asks. “He had to go to the bathroom, he should be here soon.” Maria answered. “So Michael and Maria did you have fun in first period?” Kyle asks with a smirk. “Why do you ask?” Maria says trying not to laugh at Michael who is making faces behind Kyle’s back. “Well I heard this wonderful story that couldn’t possibly be true that you and Michael caused a scene? Like fighting with Mr. Larking, does that ring a bell?” Kyle replies. “Kyle, Maria didn’t cause the scene I did, get off her back. Lark assumed Maria and I were dating so I put him in his place. That’s all that happened.” Michael says as he looked at Maria. He saw Max come up behind her and grab her, causing her to spin around to say something but he kissed her first. “Sorry it took so long. I went to get a pop from the pop machine but it was out of the kind I wanted.” Max said after they quit kissing. “That’s okay, you just saved me from more of Kyle’s questioning.” Maria replied. “About what? Wait let me guess? It is about what happened in Lark’s class between him and Michael. Oh yeah I heard all about it from Lark himself second period.” Max said as he looked at Michael and gave him a smirk. “That is what it is about.” Maria said looking down. Max pulled her closer to him then lifted her chin so he could look into her eyes. “I thought it was quite funny if you ask me. Of course I didn’t tell Lark that. I told him that I’d talk to Michael and you but I wont be doing to much talking when we are alone together and Michael is a big boy, he can do what he likes. Anyways, are we still on for our meeting at my place?” Max asks. Maria looks over his shoulder to Michael who nodded his head yes. “Yes we are. I’ve got some one covering for me.” Maria answers. “What meeting are you talking about that needs Michaels approval?” Liz asks. “Liz, Hun, it’ll be a very private meeting. Like one ‘on’ one.” Isabel answered. You could tell when Liz got what Isabel was implying by the blush that creped up her face. Finally the lunch bell rings. “I’ll see you guys after school.” Isabel said as she walked towards the school. Liz waved and followed her into the school. “Max see you in fifth period and Maria see you in gym.” Kyle said. Michael just smirks and follows Kyle. “You didn’t tell you Kyle about us leaving?” Max said it more as a statement then a question. Maria just looked up at him as they went to Max’s Jeep. |
