PART 15 At the Station They pull in front of the Sheriff’s office and walk inside hand-in-hand. “Max follow me. Maria follow Hanson.” Jim says. Max leans over and kisses Maria before letting her hand go. “Move it now you two.” Jim led Max into one cell, while Hanson led Maria to the other one. “You’ll both be spending the night where you at now.” “You have got to be kidding me. Are you doing this because you want to keep us apart?” Maria asks. “No, I’m doing my job. Just because you live under my roof and he is my sons best friend and your boyfriend doesn’t mean anything. What you two were doing was indecent exposure. And we put people in jail for that.” Jim answers with anger in his voice. “Are you going to call my parents?” Max asks. “I wouldn’t want to ruin their weekend away now would we. I’ll be dealing with what I caught you two doing in the morning. Enjoy your night in jail and hopefully you two will learn from it.” Jim answers before he left. Once he reaches the door he turns around. “Absolutely no talking from either of you. Hanson will be watching and will report everything to me.” Then shut the door. Maria and Max just look at each other then lay down on their bed before mouthing ‘I love you and good night’ then drifted off to sleep. |
