 Tuesday, 14th November, 1811.

        With the approbation of Sir George Prevost, Baronet, &c. &c. &c., Charles La Jeunesse, was dismissed from his office of pilot, for and below the harbour of Quebec, for having on the thirteenth of September last, brought the sloop Phoenix, of Bermuda, from Trinidad to Quebec, with a full cargo, to an anchor in an improper place, off the east end of Green Island, where on the ebb tide the said sloop struck on the rocks, filled with water and was wrecked.

    Brig Minerva, Captain Bennett, lost both anchors and cables, Quebec.
    Brig Britannia, Captain Brand, much damaged, Cul-de-Sac.
    Brig Kangaroo, Captain Mann, a total wreck, Cul-de-Sac.
    Brig Patience, Captain Darrell, stranded in the Cul-de-Sac.
    Brig Jane, Captain Smith, lost one anchor and cable, and otherwise much damaged, Brehaut's wharf.
    Ship Three Brothers, Captain Freeman, not materially damaged.
    Brig William, Captain Dawson, much damaged.
    Brig Morton, Captain Barriere, keel broke and otherwise much damaged, must be delivered.
    Brig James & David, Cairs, slightly damaged.
    Brig Concord, Captain Fowler, one cable broke and otherwise damaged.
    Brig Catherine, Captain Sword, much damaged in the bottom and rigging.
    Brig Bredalbane, James McFarlane, Wolf's Cove, stranded, and must be delivered to be repaired.
    Ship Lord Middleton, lost both anchors and cables, Cove.
    Brig Margaret, John Ennis, not materially damaged, Cove.
    Ship Neptune, Captain Major, stranded and must be delivered, Cove.
    Brig Minerva, Captain Duncan, not materially damaged, Cove.
 
 
 
Quebec Mercury #44 Page 350. Monday, November 4, 1811.
 
      October 30. A small schooner arrived from the Island of Cape Breton, with Captain Tulloch, and crew of the brig Baltic Trader, which was wrecked on the 9th October last, on her passage from London to Quebec. The brig is a total wreck. This was her second trip this year. She was addressed to J. Coltmann & Co.

      On the 5th instant, Captain Dow, of the brig Friendship, outward bound, came up from Crane Island, where he was under the necessity of running the vessel on shore, after having lost his anchors and cable.
