      The Marie, Simon Doucet, from Halifax to this port, was lost on the 24th ultimo near Goose Island, when Captain Doucet, his son and six other persons, making the whole of the crew, unfortunately perished.
    A great part of the cargo of the Dunlop, ashore at Crane island, has been brought up in lighters and the vessel is reported to be in a favourable situation.

  BY AUCTION 
      Will be sold, on Wednesday next, the 17th instant June, at William Burn's auction room, for the benefit of the underwriters and others concerned:
    The ship Dunlop, of 331 46/94 tons register measurement, as she now lays stranded on Crane Island, with her rigging and materials. An inventory of which will be prepared, and lodged with the broker as soon as possible, for the view of any person desirous of seeing the same.
