      Will be sold on Saturday next, the 10th instant, November, on the wharf of Messrs. Monro & Bell for the benefit of the underwriters:
    The ship Defiance, lately stranded with her sails, anchors, cables, standing and running rigging, masts, yards, boats, stove, cambouse, and all her other furniture and materials.
 
 ALSO 
      The cargo of the said ship consisting of 16613 pieces of staves of the following dimensions and description, viz:  
   5˝ ft. by 1˝ in.   0 8 0   0    
   5˝ ft. by 2    in.   6 0 0   0    
   3˝ ft. by 2    in.   0 9 0 18    
   3˝ ft. by 2˝ in.   1 4 0 14
